I think that might be "as designed". Your ships have a range of 1 if you have no life support systems. You start with the low end (5) ship component, but extended gives you another (10), and advanced gives even another (20). The equipment is all about the same size IIRC, so your small ships can travel much further

I realize it may simply not be implemented yet, but when I completed research on large ship hulls I could not design ships with them. Sure would like to see the larger ships
Okay, save game sent... Good luck!
I was playing along, happily enjoying the fact that space battles work again when my espionage efforts suddenly paid off... and how! Out of nowhere, I received a technology that I am quite sure no one had. Supposedly it came from the Drengin, but I really doubt it. See, I was ahead in weapons research by all ways I could measure things. Then, I was handed Neutrino guns. Yes, that's right, the second to last tech in the projectile listing. This was while I st
I'd also like to add that the current system with the drop icons is good, but is missing a feature. Instead of only taking us to the build queue for the starport, could it also center the camera on the planet being built from? This way, you click on the icon, change the queue if you want, and are staring at the ship you just built.
Good point, I can't count how often I've left a ship on planet for a few turns because it wasn't auto launched. Actually, I would also like to suggest that the auto-launch option be set as default, or an option be made to choose which you prefer as default. In regards to the icons that fall down the right side, I would also like to suggest that they disappear each turn, whether clicked or not. If you are building a war fleet, often you will be making dozens
E-mail sent Good luck
Okay, well my pictures won't link properly, so I'll link to them... http://www.2hot2cool.com/11/aloriellelyn/images/GC2SS.html Also, I attempted to continue playing from the previous autosave. The game crashes on the first click of "turn".
That would be a no, I guess. They are jpg format, do they need to be gif?
This is a screen shot of my empire's expenditures. 183 million bc on ship maintenance?!? Autosave file was unloadable after this. It had apparently made this calculation on the turn before, and thus killed my treasury by that much. And this is a listing of the ships that I had been maintaining. Yes, 8 total. My treasury was still at the 39,000+ mark on the turn loaded by the pre
As you can see here, 183 million spent on ship maintenance. The game also crashed on the next turn. Autosave was not loadable. And this is a picture of my fleet log from the previousautosave file. Clearly prior to the bug, but I also did not produce a ship on the turn it occured. My treasury is also substantially higher (39k bc) <img src="http://www.2hot2cool.com/11/alor
Once the game starts I cant think of a single he/she reference to your 'character'. As Cari mentioned, there are a few in GC1. They're mostly in the random events where it refers to your leader as "Lord" or "Mr." or "he/his/him". I believe there was also a reference in the Galactic Council, but I can't remember off hand. W
Initial ship was for the Iconians. I have played it again with the Yor, and my initial ship worked. I'll keep attempting to duplicate the bug though, and if successful, I'll send a save game and/or screenshots. Oh, and I realized additional information that might be important in regards to the fatal crash I mentioned above. I was playing on a lower AI setting than 'average'. I always do that my first couple games, just in case the AI is astounding (which GC1's was!). I am progressing it
In the race selection screen, I have noticed that you cannot choose the name, nor gender of your leader. Seeing as this is a unified Earth (or where ever), I would think that the possibility of a female leader would be quite high with the exception of the Yor. I, as one of many female gamers out there, strongly recommend you provide an option for female leaders and the renaming of your leader. It makes me sad to see that it has not been included yet, and that GC1 wen
I apologize if this is a double post. I posted this last night, but after editing it, it disappeared.
