Hello, I have found one annoying camera issue when I am trying to rotate the camera by pressing mouse wheel. If I do that in the lower half of the screen and then move the mouse to the left, screen move to the right. But if I do the same in the upper half of the screen, my screen move to the left (So the other way arround). Also I would appreciate if you could make this optional for X and Y axis. As I like to customize how my camera reacts to the X and Y movemen

All of this sounds really great. Maybe even bit too much ambitious. How will it work, if AI will be programmed to take advantage of different computers in MP, or Virtualization if one do not have internet connection or play single player? I can already hear people being worried about internet aspect of the game. For me personaly, if it makes AI better, I am all for it, but I live in a country where internet connection is not an issue. However considering the fa

We would have kept making GalCiv II updates if we hadn't run out of memory to stuff more stuff into. Same reason Sins of a Solar Empire 1 won't ever get that fourth race. We're our of memory in 32-bit. GalCiv III, by contrast, purely talking engine stuff here, supports any resolution that may come up in the future, gets f
I personaly hope, galaxy will feel alive, and there will be a lot of things to explore, find and discover, not just at the beggining but thru the whole game, including alot of minor races, space monster, pirates and random events... Because discovery and exploration is my favorite part of 4X space games. I always can not wait to start again and see whats there for me this time. I am hoping for som
The Founder's Elite edition is going to be, by far, the best deal. We have planned 2 or 3 major expansions plus god knows how many DLC packs over the next several years.
I am hoping for 3 major expansions now when I have elite founder pack [e digicons]O:)[/e] . And you guys have engine which can easily scale into the future. Why not make it most awesome TBS ever :-).
Civ 5 with both expansions is really great game. Much better then it used to at release. Too bad, that you can not use mods in MP and AI in multiplayer do not contact you like in SP. Those are only two problems for me with it. It is really great. I could never get into endless space. And I have it aswell. It did not feel like a game to me, for some reasons. Could not stick with it. Pandora does looks good. Havent played it, but f
It is going to be either something similar to my name, or to one of my nicknames I am normaly using :-D
Quoting SirKs, reply 3 Quoting Frogboy, reply 2 One of the biggest changes you'll see in the AI is data mining. Simply put, player ship designs and tactics are going to be stored on the cloud so that the AI can do data mining on it. I don't plan to actually design the ships this time around but instead look at the stats of the global player force and pick from that. So the top Drengin pl
My only concern with having to talk to the "cloud" to get ship designs for the AI is to make sure that it is tolerant of faults in the network stack, such as still letting you play even if the network is dropping 30-40% packets. A lot of consumer networks are notorious for failing partially rather then completely where you will have sustained periods of 5-30% packet los
Simultaneous turns are way to go. They do have some drawbacks. But it makes up for it with speed.
If your PC is quiete old, then you need to find out, if you have DX10 or DX11 GPU. If not, then you can not run gal civ 3. Also, you need to have 64bit windows. Which is not as big deal, as you can simply install it. I think if your PC is older then 3 or 4 years, you might run into problems.
I understand where you comming from, if you are looking for more realistic gameplay. But you always have to weight cons and pros. This could lead to some heavy micromanagment of units which might not be fun in the end. I think, as long as unit is within your own empire influence, it would be nice compromise. Very often people have ideas and features, which sounds realistic to them, but they are not so fun ingame. And for me personaly, fun is more important then realistic game.
I have to say, UI has come a long way from your previous games. It fits game really well and I like colors and opacity. Fonts looks really crisp and clear and I hope, UI will be scalable on different resolutions. It seems like you have learned a lot !! good job :-)
I did pre order elemental one year before it was released, and one of the reasons I did that, was because it was supposed to have Multiplayer. It never happened, and game was mediocre at best on release. It is much better now, but still no MP. Only thing I really want is working MP. I do not need any special features. I want it to be exactly as SP, but with my friends. I hope it will be working fine, and hope there will be option to play simultaneously</
