I didn't get in on the start of computers. I only got into them in 1962 with commercial and military computers. I did see, however, the start of PCs in 1975, and the advent of the commercially produced PCs in 1980. I have to admit, it has been quite a ride.

I just found a precursor defended anomaly, so they are indeed there.
I am under the impression that, at age 78 years, I am the oldest of the old. I enjoyed GC for OS2 versions 1 and 2 and enjoyed the EA for all versions except for the first OS2 version.
OK. I posted a review on Steam for GC3 about a year ago. I just did one for Crusade. But I can't tell if it accepted. Since I bought the Founder Elite package during GC3's EA and a0152570 said Steam wouldn't count my review am having my doubts. Can anyone test this?
One of the previous galcivs (GC1 or GC2 or both) allowed playlists to be used. Another feature that is missing in GC3. May we have it back?
I am also getting pirate shipyards but I am not getting any pirate or precursor defended anomalies.
And what has happened to the "graveyard" anomalies? I have yet to see even one of these, with or without pirates or precursor ships defending them.
Back porting can be a pain to do. You have put considerable effort into Crusade and made it a big departure from the base game. It really is more like a GC4 than a GC3. Some of the improvements you have in mind may back port with little or no effort, and maybe the back porting of them should be attempted. But IMHO this should only be on a case by case basis, not generally.
Category 3: Things that will definitely be brought to the base game. General AI improvements
Within this should be more sorting of item lists. The one I find most necessary is the inclusion in the GOTO ship option of unowned planets with sort capabilities for planet quality and distance from the selected ship (and not just ships with a colonization component). On GC2 I used just about every sort that was available and I find the loss of t
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the ring paths are mutually exclusive. For, eg: If you set up a starbase and add a mining ring to it, you cannot then add an economic ring or a cultural ring. Some upgrades span all of the main rings, though like weapons systems, scanners etc. Also, I think archaeology labs can be added to any starbase too.
But this way you can't apply a second ring, can you? I. E build a mining base and upgrade a second eco-Ring.
This is true and has been throughout GC3, and was even true in GC2.
There are two factors that could have an impact on this question if anything changes in the future. Currently no administrators are required and no maintenance is assessed for shipyards.
Sorry, I meant to include the links to the shots in my dropbox, but when my attempt to open a ticket failed I got distracted. Also, I dropped an "er" in one of the screen names when I originally posted this issue. Here are the links to the screen shots: https://www.dropbox.com/s/aholiqew89m1ds7/Designer%20screen%20Ion%20drive%20mass%202017-03-04%2014.18.56.png?dl
Yes, and I have done it before and probably will again. One of the signs of old age, I guess.
It really does have a Star Wars episode 4 cantina sound to it, but I suspect it is more because of the sound of the instruments than of the tune. The tune is nowhere similar, but the instruments sound remarkably like the instruments in the cantina scene.
They fixed it. They fixed it. Left over moves on ships at the end of a turn when a ship has less than a full count for a turn are now being accounted for. After pressing the end of turn button the game moves ships on autopilot. If there are less than enough moves for a full autopilot move on the next turn the game now asks you to take action on the ship. This is much better than it was where the game would just discard left over move points for ships that had completed their a
I have been unable to find this "master option" in Crusades. We really do need it.
This is still missing on Crusades. It is a serious detraction to enjoying the game. The time it takes to select an unowned planet without this an become very long on the larger galaxy sizes. On an insane galaxy size I have often had 300-400 uninhabited planets in the planet list. Also, this list should be in the GOTO list, including the planet characteristics as shown in the planet list.
This problem is still appearing on Crusades.
This all sounds like administrators are destroyed along with ships that get destroyed. Why should this be? Do the administrators travel in the ships? Also, if a constructor creates a starbase, does the constructor's administrator get destroyed when the constructor gets consumed and an unused administrator get assigned to the starbase? This is something I have not been seeing happen. Same for colony ships and new colonies? Again, I have not been seeing this happen. In both these cases

Just downloaded it and about to give it a try. Brad and StarDock, many thanks. tid242 -- I know your pain. I used to have a very slow internet connection and I know this one would have taken 30-40 minutes to download (at no more than 6 Mbps). I got ticked at Centurylink about it and switched to a cable connection (which I am still not happy with over their IMAP server) and their "at least 60 Mbps" speed got it down in about 3 minutes. Some phone c
Brad gave a description of what he was faced with on this problem at https://forums.galciv3.com/482463/page/2/#replies reply # 46. I find his explanation enlightening. Thanks, Brad, for your forthrightness and your efforts in supporting us. Perhaps another Stardock grown solution is called for. Or maybe there is a way to get around Steam's shortcomings?
Thanks for the explanation, Brad. Have you had a chance to think of how you might handle it next time? It seems like it is getting harder each time to find a safe/reliable way, so you may wish to brainstorm some ideas with your teams. Or even with a few of us Elite Founders.
