After researching an anomaly, I got the below message. The first option offers to unlock the "Nail" ship. In order to make an informed decision, it would be nice if the word "Nail" enabled a hover popup that displayed the properties of the Nail ship similar to the way the planet name (Altais II) does and the phrase "Cultural Awareness" does. The same should apply when other ships are made available like the Ysengard, Raptor, Praxis, etc.
