So I'm still finding a few bugs previously listed and yet to be fixed, along with a couple of new ones. Some of this will probably be noticed by a reviewer so heads up on that!
*Using Custom Race based on Thalan Tech Tree & Ship Design. Star Fairing & Prolific Race Traits:
1) The combat viewer camera still needs work. The Free Cam in particular. I think any reviewer who plays 2 or more battles and fiddles with the camera's will notice that this is definitely an area that needs improvement. In particular issues with the camera staying in the area of combat and how the mouse wheel works to move through and around the combat. It does not feel release ready. I can't provide screenshots or files for this, only suggest the Dev's to play a few battles back to back using the Free Cam. Not intuitive for movement compared to how you can move around a space in say, Sins of a Solar Empire.
2) Nebula's
a) Information for ships appears truncated on the main map (http://postimg.org/image/kze0oy5z9/)
In the same image above I cannot tell if those negative stats are applied to the ships I have or are just the Nebula's general stats. This is important because I have the Star Fairing Race Trait on and should not be affected by negative stats. Also I still cannot build Star Bases inside a nebula even while having the Star Fairing Trait (http://postimg.org/image/v72zemeb5/). This is recurring problem for a couple patches now.
3) Pre-Combat Start Window still does not show Star Base stats in the bottom section covering fire power etc (http://postimg.org/image/3vwbblws7/)
4) Pirates Attacked an armed Mining Star Base and traded fire for a short period at the start. Then circled the base for a good 30 seconds, point blank, neither they or the base firing. Screen shots show them right there but mouse-over notes saying 'Out of Range' (http://postimg.org/image/xorm0b2x9/ | http://postimg.org/image/ywluq60xj/ | http://postimg.org/image/62qcuevir/).
5) Able to see Pirate Ships in explored, but FOW, area of space (http://postimg.org/image/4fzmue7il/)
6) Weapons Tech Tree (Thalan) Shows possible error with Defence Specialization - The first two techs in the specialization say they reduce cost of Shield or Point Defence, however the Armor one says it reduces the Mass, not cost. Not sure if this is how they are working or a typo. Also not sure if this is intended... guessing not (http://postimg.org/image/vhsvgxmgh/ | http://postimg.org/image/hz0xohozb/).
7) Fought & Won a battle with some Pirates. I had 3 ships and lost 1. Afterwards I went to the fleet viewer window and it shows this the third ship still there as an Explosion Particle FX (http://postimg.org/image/g115yzpy5/).
8) I have a couple of planets in game with moons, however in this build the moons no longer appear to rotate around the planet either on the main map or in the planet screen (http://postimg.org/image/dxk9kenfj/).
9) Diplomacy Screen does not appear to be showing relationship lines in this build. Clicking on 'Show All', well, shows nothing! (http://postimg.org/image/8dmzohzex/).
That's the report after about 150 turns into the game. No crashes and very fast! Having a lot of fun for sure, but I did find quite a few bugs as you can see and I think a reviewer with certainly catch some of these as well. Hope this helps!
