is there a way to control more of the galaxy??

i played for years and never made it to control 1 % of the galaxy

Yep. No denying that. Raises the question though, if there's infinities in math, do they exist? Bigger question. Is math real or merely a construct we invented? Or, is it something we stumbled upon because math is how the universe works? Big question. Tricky to answer. 

I think you are referring to influence. If so, use influence star bases to increase control.

That said. 1%? That's... low... very low.

Well if final fate of the universe will be the BigFreeze then it will keep on expanding forever, and according to the laws of thermodynamics, the cooling down will last forever, so if you would like to display these 2 timeframes in a diagram one side would approximate to infinity.

if you want to get more control of the galactic map you'll have to contribute more score to the MV. I've taken a look at your first MV player, and you seem to play normal games, and simply submit them. This way you will never be able to compete.

What you should play is ZERO YEAR WINS - such a game only lasts 10 minutes and will net you from 100.000 to 120.000 points guaranteed (if you play the normal ZYW involving sporeing the enemy). 

There are also other forms of ZYW, my personal one involves SuperDiplomat against multiple enemies, these net much more points but require more time and alot more understanding of techtrade & also preparation.

Finally, you may want to play million-pointer games, but some of them last weeks, and you should have the basic research plan & knowledge about the Great Galactic Swindle.

Also, playing for score usually involves using Dark Avatar, since you can contact the AI any turn, and there are also alot more planets, stuff like bugged MCC & Psionic Beam.

Although I've got to say that some stuff in TOTA 2.20 may also seem exploitably, esp. TechCapital +100% for ZYW.

Both the Kzinti Empires own forums got closed down some time ago, so I can't access any guides that have been there (and there were alot, and very detailed, basically step-by-step instructions so even new players could dive right in)

But I still seem to have a few on my drive, so if you're interested I may post them. Also, the basic Spore ZYW is quite easy to find out on your own once you got the basic idea of how to win a game on April 8th (total 13 turns)

Maiden, I'd like to see a guide to how the game arrives at a score.  I've played games where I simply kicked alien ass all over the galaxy - and scored 75,000.  Tried winning quickly, tried various victories: no appreciable difference.

I usually play Immense, high difficulty, at least 5 races.  Never Metaverse.

I think the answer was made pretty clear when it was shown that consistent yet contradictory maths can be constructed from variant axiom systems.  (Can't recall who was the prime mover in this work.)  IOW, there is no Truth in mathematics per se.

when I playagaisnt mulitple enemies my computer stops working, and it is a AMD A* 7410,, 8 giga RAM,,

64 bits,,,, 2,2 giga hard drive speed... i dont know why it gets slow...

I play most of the games on level normal or chalenging,,, and they usualy last 4 hours,, i mostly win by acenstion victory,,, some time ago was tecnological victory, but ascention victory is harder to achieve..

dark avatar seem to be the hardest version of this game,,, i can only win on level normal, but take around 10 years on average..

You've asked some interesting questions that I would like to know the answers to, but this is not the right place.

Numbers are real. Groups are real. Atoms in the universe is finite. How we use numbers probably comes from us. Infinity is relative. Infinity counts forever starting at one, so if you started counting all the stars in the universe. You would not reasonably finish.

Hey guys, I've finally got a response from Yarlen. Apparently, the delay was due to Stardock being very focused on finishing Ashes of the Singularity (which is understandable, in my opinion). So, the update for the CU will be added to the base game. Though it still might take a while.

up date for the CU?? what is CU??  who is yarlen??

lsiten,, tell them the points system in the metaverse is wrong,, they need to change,,,

also they need to create bigger galaxies,, and diferente ships , and bigger fleets.. and so on,,

GC 2 in general is good, but could have been made better...

It might help if you tell them how galciv2 could be made better. Not to mention that is what galciv3 mercenaries is.

GC 2 could have bigger maps,,, bigger fleets and more tecnologies ..

and the point score for metaverse could be better..

even multiplayer mode would be cool too...

grafics could be better,,,

the music is perfect for a space game,,

starbases could be much more powerfull..... they are actualy very vulnerable..

plantary invasio should be made much harder,, u cant invade  a planet with just one ship..

but i cannot play it,,, I cant find the downloaded folder and the game will only run the version 1.97,, not 2.20..
