phase jumping to other systems

hi
i just bought the game a couple days ago. i used to be a huge starcraft follower, but now I dont even care when starcraft 2 comes out! I love this game!

I do have one silly question though. when playing medium size maps with different star systems. how do i phase jump to other systems once i have taken over the one I am based in? I cant seem to find the place to phase jump. one planet has a gravity well but i have explored and just find myself stuck! thanks for any reply

Research long range jump then a pathway will appear in the stars gravity well to another star

One needs to research a new tech in civilian area. I can't remember the name, it is late. There are two techs for phase jumping, one is from star to star, the other is from wormhole to another star(?).

it must be on a medium-large map, when you zoom out you can clearly see another star in a nebula of some kind. Long range jump is needed to to a jump to the star, from the star you are jumping from. wormhole stabilization allows you to travel through 2 wormholes in space, possibly in different systems.

choose Ironclad online, make a new account (its not shared with the stardock account), create a new character name (however they call it) use it and now you see lobby/join game/host game tabs on the side.
