[quote who="Gauntlet03" reply="15" id="3711278"] Define and validate "vast". Define who is and who is not part of the "community". These are impossible to validate or verify, its very well-meaning hyperbole. Brad is making the best possible business decision he can, and he has more access to the actual information required to make these decisions. If anyone could really quantify the popularity (or not) of a given DLC, its him. A lot of t

It makes me sad that the Gal Civ devs seem to universally consider their DLCs to be a "mistake". The vast majority of the Gal Civ community enjoy them and are happy to have them. We certainly don't consider them a mistake, and hope that our opinions count as well.

Come on Frogboy, I love you but you can't listen these loud mouthed curmudgeons who represent a mere vocal minority. I see these types all the time in every game community. I know, I know, Steam reviews, Steam's weird rating system, yadda yadda yadda, I understand where you are coming from. But your fans are the ones that will actually buy this. Besides, do you want Gal Civ III to go down in history as being less than what it could be just because of some jerks? These people will forget their

Some of you may recall that there was Dread Lord/Dark Avatar DLC coming that would include some new campaigns and add the Drath and Korath to the game. @Frogboy seemed to indicate that it was cancelled because of a few whiners. There seemed to be some clamor from the Gal Civ fans to release it though. Has there been any update on this yopiv? Personally, I really want to see it. The campaigns in Gal Civ 3 have always been good fun, but more than anything, I want my Drath back! Maybe the fact t

One of my favorite things about Gal Civ is the amazing lore. I remember when I bought the first Gal Civ back in 2003 the thing that really drew me in was the fascinating back story, full of intriguing mysteries that draw you in to the game, hoping to find some obscure clue Here are five mysteries I hope we will see further explored in future expansions/games 1. Will the "dead" civilizations make a come back? Curre

To Frogboy et al, Please release the planned DLC mentioned in your previous Dev diary. Don't allow the curmudgeons to win. Your dedicated fans would love to play this content, especially those of us who are big fans of the GalCiv lore. Seeing the Drath and Korath again would also be awesome. As one final request, is there any chance that the campaign originally planned for Crusade (and mentioned in at least one of the dev diaries) will ever see the light of day? Thanks

Thanks for the response! Yes, it is very frustrating indeed. It is odd there is no way to turn this off. I would even be willing to edit XML files or something if there was a way to do it. I hope Stardock plans to fix this in the near future.

Hey guys, First time poster here, but huge Gal Civ III fan. I was wanting to know if there was any solution to probably my biggest annoyance in the game. I like to rename my larger fleets to something like 1st Fleet or Death Squad or something like that but whenever I add a new ship to the fleet the game will automatically rename it to something generic like Terran Fleet 4628 . Is there any way to keep the game from overwriting it like that? Thanks in advance for the h
