Will we or will we not be able to play E:WoM multiplayer games outside the confines of dedicated Stardock servers?
I was going to write a long reply, but Tridus covered all my points. LAN != Online I can't see, and I'm sure Stardock can't see, people renting servers a la TF2 to host Elemental games, so they want to host all these servers themselves. There is no conspiracy where they want to force you to use th

Even knowing Demigod was totally DRM free, if I ask about GOO and Stardock´s next intentions would be to use it. I would have removed Stardocks from the list either way. We screwed up on the communication? aside from the fanboys like you, no one stands that opinion. See Quixal point 2 fo

If you get another 4 armor, you get 10 EHP out of it. If it were diminishing returns, it'd look more like this: If you get 4 armor, you get 10 EHP out of it If you get another 4 armor, you get 9 EHP out of it I

It's just 1 - (2500/(2500+Armor)).
Of course it's diminishing returns. Did you not even look at the graph from gamereplays.org? http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/portals.php?show=page&name=demigod-tip-of-the-week-calculating-armor <
which brings up....should you even be allowed to buy and equip more than 1 helmet/breastplate/ect.? It makes no sense, even in general RPG and RTS games. I'm not in front of the game right now, but doesn't torso armor usually have the greatest benefits in general? You could just load up on multiple torso armors and forget the rest. There needs to be changes that says you can only have 1 helmet, 1 torso, 1
Of course, you're ignoring my whole post about how stale DotA's gameplay is and why some people would want a DotA like game without the tedium of DotA. Which would be valid, had Demigod sufficiently addressed any of the issues you had with DoTA. As it stands, it is DoTA, with less strategy and simplified mechanics. You seem to be arguing that less is more. It's an interesting point, I'd love to hear you elabourate on it, parti
It is sadly, abundantly clear what the modus operandi of some of those who reside on these forums is. People who do not read the post in it's entirity, who do not understand it's context or intent, or cannot see it simply because they're too busy seeing red and typing furiously in defense of a development company on the internet. If you seriously believe that I am out to 'get' GPG and Stardock and score one for the DoTA community (of whi

DotA, in its essence, was basically a rote repetition of tasks. When I quit, it was about last hitting your opponent's creeps, and last hitting your own creeps to deny. This is literally all there is to the beginning of the game. It's micromanagement and, yes, takes some skill, but it bored me out of my skull. It was one of the primary reasons I quit. Sure, you could jungle or pull creeps to your tower (I think they patched that out later), but in every case, interaction with your opponent wa
Michael Fitch One, there are other costs to piracy than just lost sales. For example, with TQ, the game was pirated and released on the nets before it hit stores. It was a fairly quick-and-dirty crack job, and in fact, it missed a lot of the copy-protection that was in the game. One of the copy-protection routines was keyed off the quest system, for example. You could start the game just fine, but when the quest triggered, it would do a

A lot of times, a company will "test" your credit card by giving you a pending transaction (usually $1, sometimes for the full amount), but not actually post the transaction.

Fun game. Probably not worth 20 bucks, though. Maybe 10. Get the PC version. The DS is nothing but load times. The only thing I didn't like was the constant gate hacking, so I modded the game to make them all 1 gem.
