CursorFX will run CursorXP themes. Going forward however, CursorXP will not load CursorFX themes because the format has been extended to support effects inside of the cursor files. There was an issue with Cursors not being loaded correctly on XP, but that has been resolved in the latest build. Thanks for your comments!

[quote] ave you tried right clicking a CursorXP theme on your desktop, choosing open with, and selecting CurosorFX? That should work. Oops tested this and it doesn't work. Only method I've found so far is to manually copy the theme file directly into the CursorFX theme directory located at: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes Works, but i will use CursorXP, for me it's better <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_4 src="http://ima

The location once you install CursorFX for themes is the following folder: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes Putting either type of file in that folder and CursorFX will display and apply them. CursorFX stored themes in the following location: %PROGRAMFILES%\Stardock\CursorXP\Themes Users should copy themes from the CursorXP theme folder into the CursorFX theme folder to see them in CursorFX. If you install MyColors over WindowBlinds you can continue using WindowBlinds by just launching WindowBlinds and apply skins. You can also uninstall MyColors later if you just want to continue using WindowBlinds.

Hello all, We have a 64-bit version in testing now. We plan to release it in the near future. The reason I am not commiting to a date at this time is because we also have two releases coming up (one new and one refresh) that are slated for next week and the first two weeks in November. With that said, we will look to slip this into testing between testing of those applications. Kirk

You are correct, you would not see the service running on Windows XP because only Vista requires the service. I would try uninstalling WindowBlinds shareware version. Rebooting. The reinstall. There could be an issue with your install files / registry settings.

Are you running on Windows XP or Vista? If you are running on Vista, can you check to make sure the WindowBlinds service is running? Type net start from the command line and see if "Stardock WindowBlinds" is in the list. If it is not, you may need to reinstall the service manually.

There are a lot of elements that are new to Vista. Skinners are able to add those features with SkinStudio 6. Some of the more obvious new start menu graphics, more toolbar graphics to support the special explorer toolbar icons, etc.

As far as the themes go, I would be open to suggestions, but please remember that any suggestions about things that involve a copyright or intellectual property are more difficult to produce quickly due to the legal ramifications. If we were to provide SoundPackages that involved IP we could include some with the base package to add value, but in order help with variety we would want to do more. In order to allow people to only get what they want we would look to make these item

Thanks for all of your feedback and patience with this BETA. Delete button is on it's way. We had that on the list, but decided to release the BETA now rather than wait. We will uploaded a BASEBALL soundpack to the Wincustomize gallery this week. Car racing to follow via an SDC update to the application.

Good question Aleatoric. We are looking to create a more dynamic look and feel for our new products that is also offers a consistant look and feel. We created a unique "skin" that we feel will compliment the interior design of our applications well moving forward. What do you think of the skin? I am open to hear your feedback on this because it is not "easier" for us to make this happen as if we were "turning off" WindowBlinds. In fact quite the opposite

HOS, The error you are experiencing has been reproduced by our programmers. It appears that the error only happens when you (possibly even momentarily) lose your internet connection. This could happen if you have a high latency even (where your ISP is still connected to you but not responding for a few seconds). We are going to see if there is a way for us to allow for a timeout, but we don't have a fix today. We will post back here if we do find a solut

Hawkeye, I am using a NVIDIA 7900 GS with Vista Ultimate and I do not see this issue. Please try a different version of the NVIDIA drive and see if that makes a difference for you. I noticed that the latest certified drive is 158.18. Can you try that version to see if it helps?
