If you do the tech trading cheese tactic (buy a tech then sell it on to the other races), you can actually turn a profit from buying your tech in! Also, it may seem odd (hell, it *is* odd) but the manufacturing and researc

Ive WAITED PATIENTLY FOR 8 YEARS NOW Give me STARCRAFT2 Ohh and There was only one Starcraft, I don't feel they've really got enough to draw on to make an MMO just yet at least unless they thought up / 'borrowed' a bunch of things that fans have never seen bef

yeah well, I still think we need a GalCiv 1 type of Social Governor, where you can have a generic-all-planet-build-priority List type of governors. There could be an option where you can click "Skip bonus Tiles", or "Place corresponding building to Bonus Tiles". Another thing I would like the governor to do is, "All planets producing building X change to building Y" , like the ship and rally governors that are alrdy available, and I think it wouldnt be to difficult to implement it. It gets tideo

I enjoy playing GalCiv2 on my laptop. I need it to be able to run on a weaker video card. I think the game can be rich and detailed without requiring high-powered video to process pretty eye candy. You know, that IS a good thing, but for most games out there, there is a thing inside options called the "Video" tab, in there you have setting

Personaly, I think that cloaking devices would be a great addition to the game. But then you would have to debate that whole romulan can't fire while cloaked thing. That was only a treay I think, the ships could fire while cloack, but if they did it was breaking the peace treaty, same with Klingons, though in the movie Star Trek VI. <fo

What galaxy settings you play at??? Scattered , Loose, Tight?? I play Loose and scattered a lot, it gives me a little more time to detecet enemy fleets, and react accordingly upgrading ships, and buying a last second defense line. What I meant by that, is that those ships are slow. It would take a lot of small, or tiny ships with engines, to be able to do a blitzkrieg type of atack, since they wouldnt have a lot of weapons onboard. To go far fast you need more than 2 Engine

You know, ughm, I understand that "performance" is very important for the majority of Stardock's consumers, after all its a turn based game and not a Graphically intensive game like all other genres are, mainly FPS, or RTS, so that ppl with practically any computer can buy and enjoy the game, but should Stardock forget about the most "Demanding and Caring" consumer like myself?? I mean were living in the year 2006, and I can play games that were made 2-3 years ago that had a lot more grphics. I

Im willing to buy a new powerful video card if something CLOSE to this ever gets done... If that's the dark side of the earth, which bit is in daylight? I can only think that is the way it looks like with nasa's special satelites wich take pictures on multipule Ranges in the Light Spectrum, or its just a composite picture of diferent tim

This is just another example of why we need carrier modules, that would allow big ships with maybe 2 small , or 4 tiny ships, since they would take forever to go from point A to point B on a galaxy larger than medium, since they would be full of weapons and no additional space for engines, this would help fight a more powerful enemy, make it cooler on the battle viwer , and have a balanced fleet with a po

Wholy BEATIFUL planet, batman. You see, I knew the planets had potential, I just never understood why is it that stardock doesnt make planets look like that, starting with the goddamn lights, make them more dense and cover HUGE parts of the planet, not just 1 tiny spot, thats ridiculous. A planet 50 billion in population should look VERY bright, com on have you eever seen planet earth' dark side from space???? IT LOOK BRIGHT for god's sake... <img src="http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.go

Would'nt that damage your relationship, enough for all other civs to declare war??? Maybe you get saved by the fact you play on big maps??, or is it that by the time you get atacked, youve alrdy conquered 1 or 2 civs, making them weaker. Personally I dont like atacking them right away, I like a challenge and huge dreadnought fleet battles(what can I say, I like Star Trek and Star Wars ). <br

You can "trick" the computer to atck the bigger hulls by putting less defenses on large hulls, this will make the computer atck the large hulls first since they want to take out the most powerful yet vulnurable ship available, so while they all focus on 1 ship, you can put lots of weapons on small ships. If you've ever fought pirates, I think you would learn that pretty fast, or lose most of your small medium fleets. Monc34

One of the main reasons I put money into espionage in this game is to figure out where enemy ships are going so I can counter them O yeah, can you tell me how can you know where are they going if you cant see them?? And Im asking you about now ATM. This only works if you have some sort of AWAC class ship that can know where the enemy is comin fro
