Well yeah your correct on the simplified invasion, I'd LOVE to see a more complicated system, but the 1 we have makes it more streamlined, and on a gigantic galaxy it makes the game go a little smoother inbetween planet invasions. Even MoO2 was very similar to this 1, the only diference was there was a race that could use mind control, in effect taking slaves, and didnt even have to take the time to build transports, everything else is like GC2, without inspace ship battles,of course. Now some further points. I don't know about you, but on the occasion that I do get one of my planets taken over, I do not see the drop in PQ (or loss of structures)that would correspond to the use of "nasty" tactics by the AI (ie. mass drivers.) uhm, the enemy also have mass drivers you know, and that pwnz a big population planet, then just send a second transport for mopping up. It works both ways (you and your enemy). and dont you think having cover with big massive capital ships overhead doesnt give you and advantage??? if an f16 can fire a couple of missles and destroy a freaking neighborhood(look at lebanon, its south is FUBAR{fuck up beyong all recognition} right now cuz of Israel) then wut about a mile long ship, with lots of mor

Actually I think the players who have trouble getting an economy going will have even more trouble with more cash -- they'll just use the funds to buy stuff quickly and create a bigger hole even faster. BTW: Got those pesky dreadlords, built 1 fleet of 4 dreadlord killers, with 3 AERON missle defense, and 5 nanno rippers, sneaked atack the planet when they went out to kill my newly built starbases, but I had built 8 starbases with military resources so it took them a while to reach them(its a gigantic galaxy mission), meanwhile they left the only planet they had with 1 really tough defender, but I got him with his pants down, and good for me I brought 4 transport with 1 trillion troops (100

Well after mission 3 youll get the dreadlords, so it isnt as easy as mission 1and 2, still beatable and enjoyable, but a little harder. Yeah, why is it that a VERY ADVANCED INVADER, just uses GROUND troops and not planes???????(fighters to kill enemies' bombers, and of course bombers to bomb the ground troops) Even if Ground bombing isn't there as an Invasion Tactic, the planes could be shown bombing the enemy when invading the planets in 3D, just like the troops,tanks and artyllery alrdy are... Why didnt you just buy a newer card for the same price?? Dirt cheap cards are out now, probably 2-3 times faster than a 9800pro. Second person I find that is to attached to the card and cant sell it to get a new 1. You could sell it to some1 for $50 and with the same money your using for the repair and shipping, you could get a new 1. Personal opinion I guess... Monc34

Their making a ZILLION tons of money with their MMORPG, why make something that will damage the reputation for the company if not done to expectation, if they can avoid it??? Fully agree with fuzzy, 1 weapon specialization is better, just make 3 ships with the 3 diferent weapons, and spread out the defenses to the 3 armor, PD, and shields. best way to do it. unless you dont want to spend the additional 3-5 minutes putting the 3 diferent weapons, in that case its your personal opinion... Yeah, it does sound interesting, maybe the ship needs to serve for some years and have won a number of battles, be4 it becomes a legend, and when obsoleted to the museum, give a small % morale boost, and only a few ships can be obsoleted to the museum, or you can obsolete as many as you like, but the % boost can be caped at a certain % Dont know itll happen though, but is always good to see ppl that keep coming up with ideas, right?
