Hi Kaiubraeutigam, Start11 installs a Windows service (it isn't done through the startup apps). Creating the service requires administrator permission, which is why I had asked about the "UAC" prompt when you install. If the installer never receives the prompt for permission, the service is not created — which likely explains why Start11 does not start on its own. There is one thing you can try, as it is quick and may be the whole problem. <

Hi waynecar,
Sorry about answering the next post as if basj suggested sending him a private message. I should have named Abisnabidam as the one that asked me to send him a private message. I am surprised he is not aware it is possible to attach files to private messages. Hi kaiubraeutigam, thanks for posting.
Well, that didn't help me at all! The service wasn't running, and the thread I mentioned talked about activating the service via PowerShell—but it didn't explain how to actually do it. What now? Hello Pascal, Thank you again for working with us and providing these answers. Based on what we've seen, the underlying issue here should be addressed in the next update. The advanced logging should also see some improvement, if needed in the future. Best regards, Adam McGuinness Stardock Support Specialist

Hi waynecar,
I prefer not to uninstall Start11 because I lose a lot of functionality and would have to wait for several days to do a proper test. According to a third tier Microsoft Windows Support tech, they have no reports of the OS itself causing a Taskbar unhide issue.
I understand the inconvenience. However, at this time we have not seen reports or reproduced a case of the latest version of

Could we please have an update (ideally more comprehensive than 'we are actively looking into it'). Thanks.
Sorry for the delay. Hello and thank you for your reports. I haven't been able to reproduce this issue as described, in the current Fences (6.54) version. If the problem continues to occur after reinstalling/updating to the latest version (make sure to reboot after), some more information might be helpful to help identify what may be different: Run Winver.exe from Start, then note your exact Windows version and complete build number. <l
