Is there a way to create a system tray object for desktop x? I havent been able to find an example of one and I thought there is a way, but due to my decripit old age [e digicons]:omg:[/e] I cant remember how to make one.... any help would be wonderful.... thanks!

Hey, I use shortcut objects on my desktop. I notice that whenever I click on one behind my app the link then overlaps on to the application or dialog or whatever... how do I keep the links from doing that? I thought it might have something to do with Z-order but it doesnt appear to.

Im thinking of donating subscriptions in return for themes... I havent figured out the parameters of the themse or how many subscriptions I will donate, Im thinking if there was also a way to donate funds I would do that too. I already have a subscription and have no qualms about investing further on this site. kind of hard to get debug information when explorer is in a constant recycle loop. I ended up having to uninstall fences. I wouldnt say this issue is rare at all judging by responses here. I think you need to do better UAT before you let this out again. The only thing I could gleam during this 40 minute unpleasentness was there appeared to be an issue with wallpaper. I change my wallpaper frequently but I dont reboot frequently. It sort of looks like Fenc

Honestly, Im not to overly impressed. Its a smoother upgrade from Vista. I have it running through virtual PC and it does run reasonably well. IE8 is a pig and a nightmare, not very compliate with html or maybe the render engine is still being worked out... dont know. But as to Windows 7 Im not sure what all the fuss is about. I use the wincustomize tray to keep up with whats new... however now for some reason when I right click on a window blinds skin and to install it gives an error message saying "There was an error downloading the selected file. Please try again." So this hasnt worked now for the last couple of times. To be honest its the first time in a few months i have wanted to download or install this way... but ... what do i need to do to get this to work. thanks ps: a
