I have tried using the campaign the the quick start and new game and multiplayer it does the same thing in all cases except will play the video for the campaign before freezing. I also tried various map sizes and types including yes the smallest size I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it and cleared the computer to attempt to remove conflicting programs if there were any nothing has worked. I also have allowed it permissions and it does not work even if the firewall is off to answer that

Hello I just bought the galactic civilizations III game and have not been able to play it at all as the game always remains open but freezes when I attempt to load a map it freezes at the building map... point in all cases.
