Good News Everyone! From the main page: GameWatcher GalCiv 3 Elite Founder Key Giveaway https://forums.galciv3.com/466391/page/1/#3558036 So looks like you might be able to win an Elite Founder Key post launch after all.

I'm a huge fan of Stardock and their games, especially Gal Civ (which is why I became a founder. Gal Civ 2 is probably the best value game I ever bought re: cost vs gameplay hours.) That said, I have to say I'm really not happy about this. Giving those that backed the game early some extra options is nice. Making it so if you didn't preorder or buy the game within the first week you can never get these parts isn't. One of Gal Civ's strengths is the ability to creat

Congratulations Psiyon. And thank you Stardock and everyone else who took part or voted. It was a lot of fun coming up with the Judgement of Karn (and my other entry The Unbound) and I also enjoyed reading all the finalists and Honourable Mentions entries.
Haha, wow! That's amazing! Thanks to everyone who voted, even if it wasn't for me [e digicons]:)[/e] And for all the other finalists, great job too [e

Okay my entry (Judgement of Karn) has now got the wrong logo in the latest opt-in beta version. Looks like the logos have been moved around, so in game it's now using the Krynn logo, where as previously it was using the Yellow, Orange and Black logo that appears in the screenshots submitted with my entry. Just so people know.
Currently GalCiv 3 doesn't use the leader description
It doesn't? Well in that case here's The Judgement of Karn's leader, Justicar Zatan. Zatan lost his entire gene-line on the Night of Fire. Now he thinks of nothing but carrying out his people's judgement. I kept it short to fit into the in game UI without scrolling. When I say gene-line I mean he didn't j
Hi! I made the Mirron Symphony. You don't need anything just the design files, as the portrait and ship design are all in-game ones. Also, for some reason the voting page doesn't include the strengths and weaknesses. When I created them, that was put in the top left part of the launch screen instead of it's place, so if you download it look for that in the top left corner [e digicons]:)[/e] . Good luck to al

I created the Judgement of Karn using only the ingame Faction Creator, so all the graphics, the faction leader image etc are already in the game. That's why you aren't seeing them in the zip file. (I think this is also the case for the Mirrrion Symphony, judging by the zip file having the same structure as my one.) Thanks Dumhead for the instructions on how to use the different factions and generally being helpful. All the Best, Earth Force Captain

As you've made the Angry Joe faction available to download, any chance we can get the Marauders and (especially) the Ghosts of Abbadon from two of the earlier articles please. They are both interesting factions and I'd really like to see them in my games. Thanks. Marauders https://forums.galciv3.com/461709/page/1/#replies Ghosts of Abbadon ht
I got a new one. Bring back the ability to click on a star and see how many planets (and inhabitable ones) are around the star. I so miss that from GalCiv 2!
This definitely. Along with not having a list of uninhabited planets it's one of the major things from Gal Civ 2 I feel missing in 3.

12. (Unless I'm missing something) Not being able to set the factions I am playing against to random. I really enjoy not knowing who I will face in a game such as Gal Civ, so this is a big deal for me. My ideal fix would be to be able to set some or all slots to random in campaign setup, so I could mix and match factions. e.g. I'm playing Terrans and want to have the Drengin and three other random factions in my galaxy. If that's not possible, then maybe a random o

Just tried to submit my entry and I'm getting this message every time: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. Please, what can I do? And is anyone else having this problem? Thanks. All the Best, Earth Force Captain

I think GalCiv2 struck the right balance between serious content and silly content. I'm a strong believer that you can tell the darkest of stories if you balance it out with humour. GalCiv2 is one example, and Babylon 5 is another excellent example of this.
If I had ONE problem with the game, and only ONE: - The square grid. Please get with the times and move to hexes
Where as I have the opposite problem. I like square grids and have a lot of trouble playing Hex based games. I'm actually finding it quite frustrating in the Gal Civ III Alpha having my ships snaking everywhere, instead of travelling in straight lines.

Well, it took (quite) a while and some (okay alot of) consideration, but I finally named my star: Bolitho (After Richard and Adam Bolitho, Royal Navy officers and the heroes of Alexander Kent's Napoleonic era Maritime Historical Novels.) Other names I considered but didn't use (so anybody feel free to use them if you like:) Churchill (After Winston Churchill.) JMS, Straczynski, JM Straczynski (After the creator of Babylon 5 J. To be honest, I think there's a big difference between a short innocuous word like Po, which happens to mean "butt" in one language and someone intentionally running together words to mean something like "chocolate dick" which is extremely unlikely to be pure chance. That or Altarian scientists have the same sense of humour as those that find Uranus funny. [e digicons]8C[/e]
I am going to do something more personal. Our daughter passed in December so I will name my star after her as a tribute to her. I know this isn't the usual way people go about naming things, but my wife liked the idea. It is a small way to help us never to forget her.
My sympathies.
Mue’s mission had predictable results. While her entourage was undoubtedly delicious, Mue herself was served as the highest honor a Drengin warlord could receive from Lord Kona. That makes me cringe.
