And here we are now, deleting posts that make the company uncomfortable. Might as well close this thread.

Slower than half a year since the bug was reported by someone else and nothing at all has been done? Do you expect this state of affairs to make me or other people reconsider? Now the game locked up on the invasion screen, with those stupid dots running around a single tile instead of moving towards the target city. There is no way to leave the screen other than pressing alt + f4 and rehosting again. What, are we supposed to be listing all the bugs that are still here forcing
In all seriousness. If I purchase a car and it does not work, the manufacturer does not expect me to fix it with my own hands. It's my free time, and I'm done QAing for you. I already do this for life, but the company I work for pays me for it. It's your colleagues' job to get your company's product to work, especially when this is not an isolated case. I am not the one who started this thread, but I will keep it alive as long as this is not fixed. Unacceptable
We have found other causes for crashes, some examples: - the conjunction of spheres - Sunday lottery results - USD exchange rate I regret preordering Galciv IV. I regret hyping up your upcoming release on our YouTube channel. You people just don't care.
I honestly admire my own patience at this point and the fact we continue playing (or rather volunteering as QAs) while it continues to crash. One thing we noticed after several other maps is that artifacts that spawn ships/creatures (overlord ship, space monster) always make the game hang up at the end of the turn they were spawned. If we restart the game and refrain from using these artifacts, game proceeds normally that turn.
Can we get any update on this? The last message was from over a month ago, has anything been done? Ar eyou at least looking into the issue?
It doesn't really have to be the same map, just get it working again so multiplayer is viable at all.
Happy New Year everyone! How is the fix going? Still willing to play the game with my friends
It's been 2 and a half month, and nothing has been done, no progress at all, wow, just wow
Well, for me personally, the biggest downside of the lack of this DLC is no commanders. If you have the other DLCs, then the game's not that empty. Still, yeah, the fact that you have to disable the biggest expansion just to make it work is laughable.
I can confirm that disabling Crusade seems to have solved the issue for us. We played 83 turns without a single crash, earlier the game used to freeze every 2-3 turns. Too bad this is the DLC that adds the most to the game. If you are considering playing without it, you have to start a new game, and be sure to change the game's speed to fastest, otherwise it will be veeery slow.
Just a small update, I read somewhere that the Crusade DLC might be the reason for frequent freezes/disconnects. If you really want to play the game, maybe try disabling this DLC in your settings and see if it helps. Unfortunately, you will have to start a new game. My friend and I are going to try this soon. Also, my antivirus software blocked a file from GalCiv 3 folder once causing a crash, so you might want to add the game's folder to exceptions if you have similar software.
They won't fix it. It has been like this for years, they release new DLCs, but multiplayer is a dumpsterfire. Today my friend and I "played" for about three hours, half of which was constantly rehosting and restarting the game because every second turn the game freezes on turn change or downright crashes to desktop. Shame, because I love the game, I bought Gal Civ 4 on Epic the moment it was available, we both streamed in the first few days after the alpha was available, but if the fi
Like I said above, this happens regardless of which computers we use and regardless of map size.
Greetings, My friend and I have been playing Gal Civ 3 for ~ 300h now. We have the steam versions with all official DLCs and no MODs. There are days when we get 1-2 disconnects, but there are days when the game disconnects every second turn. Today for instance, we had a lot of free time, played the game for about 5 hours with disconnects every second turn. We both live in the same big city with high-speed, stable internet connections and have no disconnects in other games. Thi
