I am trying to place a spy on an enemy planet. I select the planet I want to place the spy on, and hit the place spy button. However, when I do this I get a pop-up screen that says I cannot place the spy because my spy isn't advanced enough to be placed on a planet, or some similar message. Do I need to research the additional espianoge technologies to level up my spies before I can place a spy on a planet? Alternatively, if I assign my spy to the enemy civilization via the espianoge sc

I saw some old posts that we're saying free trade agreements, research agreements, and culture agreements were bugged. Does anyone know if this has been fixed? I think the way it is supposed to work is the civilization offering the agreement on the trade screen does NOT get the bonus, correct? Only the civilization receiving the agreement in the trade screen will receive the bonus, right? Also, if both civilizations have close enough relations and both have the requisite technology, i
Seems like a great mod. I prefer smaller maps with fewer resources. Can' wait to try the mod on my next game. Does anyone know if the AI actually uses shipyard missions, either the base missions or the missions added by this mod?
Thanks for the replies. Looks like a fantastic mod. I will definitely try it for my next game.
Are "Helios Ore Search, Arnor Spice Scavengers, and Xyology Expedition" the only available shipyard missions that grant you a trade resource (granting Helios Ore, Arnor Spice, and Aurorus Arboretum, respectively)? I looked through all the tech trees briefly, but couldn't find any other technologies that unlock additional trade resource search missions. Seems pretty arbitrary to limit missions to these three specific trade resources, no? Makes me think I'm missing something.&
Since Yor planets are pretty much always at 100 percent approval, I wasn't sure if they can be culture flipped. The Yor just colonized a planet I want in a game I am playing. I have a constructor near by the planet, and was wondering if it is worth while to try and build the influence starbase. Or would this be a waste of time because Yor planets are immune to culture flipping? The Yor just colonized the planet so my influence star base would be up before the planet has much time to develop.
Just so I am clear, as a general rule we are supposed to create a new sub folder in the larger GC3Crusades/mod folder for each new mod? And under that new sub folder we create, we should create additional sub folders according to the categories in the example mod (core, game, etc.)? If so, how do we know which file from the mod goes in which sub folder? Thanks so much!
Re-readong the Wiki, I see that I may have skipped the step where I create a new folder. I currently just placed all of the files above directly into the C :\Users\nklei\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Mods folder. Do I need to create a new folder to move the files into? Something like "iRedEarth Merc Mod?" And then within that new folder do I need to add a sub folder named "core" or "gameplay" or what not? I'm not sure wh
Thank you for your response, Publius. However, I did start a new game after I extracted the above named files. The stated effects of the mod are unfortunately still not taking hold .
The mod does not seem to be working for me. My apologies, as I am quite computer illiterate. I downloaded "7-Zip" from the following website to extract the files after I downloaded the mod from Nexus: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html . I then used "7-Zip" to extract the mod to: C:\Users\nklei\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Mods (I purchased GalCiv 3 through Steam). I just checked in the "my games" folder and
One other thing you may want to consider evaluating for version 3.5 or later is the AI's use of the specialty ships one receives when changing to certain forms of government. Right now the AI is almost always scouting with these ships instead of placing them in a planet's orbit to gain the benefits associated with the ship (s). I would imagine it shouldn't be too hard to make a simple change to hard code the government specialty ships to always be stationed in orbit around the capital planet.
