with all these endless problems, several of which were uncommon to the problems others have reported, i figured it wouldn't hurt anything for me to completely wipe objectdock off the face of my computer and start all over... again. i expected it would be a waste of time since neither of the "restore defaults" options had any positive effect, but i'm glad to say purging the program completely and reinstalling remedied a few issues. <

though it may not be the most thorough lookover, after giving this new update a try it seems there is some merit in a follow up. while the "show applications" mode does look like something i could potentially consider using, it does not address the "task and tray" simultaneously concern. of my 4 running programs, it also only recognized firefox and trillian as being open and didn't display photoshop or itunes in the dock at all; so using it is not an option for now at least.&n
-Unfortunately while we do our best to ensure compatibility with all programs, ObjectDock cannot gurantee 100% compatibility with all programs. In fact many times, programs go out of their way to do tricks that may 'work' in the taskbar / systemtray... but are non-standard and regularly cause havoc in 3rd party programs like ours. I know that we did have an issue exactly like this with Skype in the past; we were fortunately able to resolve that one as of beta-2 earlier this su

anybody else familiar with or god willing found a solution to open office applications not being able to have their icons changed in objectdock? to get the general out of the way, i've right clicked the icon to change it like any other, but when you select the png/ico you want and hit "ok" nothing happens. aside from the normal method, i've tried editing the ini manually with no results either. google has produced nothing but results of people having the same problem a
i don't mind it so much at a glance, but personal annoyances arise when i'm faced with having to have the internet to install it because "i need impulse" to download it more than i'm annoyed that "i have to have yet another useless as all hell program" installed in general. there were many occasions in the past where i installed OD on my other computers by putting the installer on a usb-drive; especially when internet wasn't available or particularly wanted on that computer.
for the msn situation, you would want object dock to display running tasks; which would also work for selecting your already open firefox window as well. in doing this, object dock will run pretty much like the windows taskbar, just without the system tray.
i'm confused, in my beta version flyouts are working fine and listed right under add > docklet > flyout; right under the recycling bin. - for the tray icons, there's generally been the compromise that you could use the big pretty icon of your choice, while still having the normal sized original icon [that animates and changes] show up as well. sort of like how there's an arrow in the lower lefthand corner of a desktop icon for "shortcuts". that option isn't
[bugs, annoyances, and shortcomings] - yes some might be repeats, no i didn't forget this is labeled "beta". - start menu docklet does not display properly, notably [if not only] on the right-hand side of it. when the start menu is called up by normal means however, it displays fine. perhaps an option to leave the start menu where we expect to find it [lower left] rather than float would allow
there's a lot of nonsense and very little clarity when it comes to objectdock upgrades, versions, and inclusions; especially future ones. personally i've also always hated that docklet because it moves my start menu away from the lower left. - the solution to my problem should work as a solution to yours as well~ go to http://www.tordex.com/tools/ and download presstart 1.4. it's just a tiny .exe that triggers th
Don't suppose I can convince you to release it? Looks really nice.
i've been wanting to release it, but i hadn't let it go yet because i figured if i waited long enough that eventually an update to object dock would come out where zoomer docks finally code and skin properly like tabbed docks do, and yzdock always has, so that i could release both the zoomer and tabbed docks together and avoid people asking 'where's the zoomer, when are you going to make a zoomer, want me to ma

unless you are logged in, images flagged as adult content won't appear, and even if you are logged in you need to have a certain check box marked. that takes care of DD's and "popular", but not "newest" i'd imagine most people's problems with nudity on dA comes from when the author doesn't check the box for "adult content" and it shows up in the "newest" channel, but there's surely a lot of viewers that say "hells yeah lets see that nudity, i don't want my dA censored", but t
i really can't think of one thing i like about it, not the color scheme, not the layout, and since my subscription just recently ran out, i've come to see that this version is around twice as ad intensive and invasive with a huge box on every page saying "hey hey, click here and subscribe to get rid of this annoying "click here to subscribe" box! because if we can't provide any real appeal, or real benefit to subscribing, we'll just hold the site ransom to you by making it suck till you do".<br/

i did mention animations and so forth had to be pretty much set aside, but that in the case of static images there are different rules applied, except for a case such as dreams where you can sit there and watch the animation, or download and watch it just as a movie even though you can’t set it as your background. windowblinds though is really something i have to say i'm tired of hearing of; between it and wallpapers it's nearly the only thing people generally even think to take into co
do you have your dock set to autohide? and do you have a link to the dock background you're using?
aside from animation, the static presentation provided in the preview itself is generally more than enough to give a general critique or a worthy opinion in most cases. if not for the preview we would have nothing to like or dislike in order to merit our download in the first place other than a name, and if we shouldn’t comment or rate in any circumstance based upon the preview, what reason do we have to download it either? use the preview to judge what see and think you’ll like, then download

I. windows class sub-level separation put back in. II. zoomer docks skinning correctly like tabbed docks do. III. give tabbed docks a real zoom function instead of overlaying a bigger version of the icon on top of itself which screws with transparencies/shadows and so forth. IV. when choosing to assign a tabbed dock background, rather than the preview being a tab, be the dock background, or let us set up our own preview images for the backgrounds we make. V. a
