The way I see it, any bonus that benefit ships and conquest would still remain and just add to the limit. It would be q soft limit really. So a faction that has ship bonuses or those that get some type of bonus that would add to them getting more warships would benefit by having a few additional ships. Also option to limit type of starbase would be included. So can't spam cultural starbase for win. This should all be optional since everyone has their own play

Yep, should be an option, everyone has their own play style, more option the better. It should let you use on any map and you should be able to enter how many of each hull type available. So that way, we can limit a game to any combo We desire. large map with limited capital ships would be interesting.
In a future patch, can we have an option that we can set limits to the number of warships (ships with weapons) each factions can have? Even have limits on each hull type with weapons. I ask because with that option, warships can become a great comodity. Imagine a situation where you either have to send your fleet to defend a potebtiaLoy volatile border or go after a pirate base. Finally got it to work. It's weird, I just openEd the file in paint.net to make sure it was in PNG and then saved it again and it worked.

I want to create a custom resource that is produce automatically in a factions homeworld. For instance I want to create the resource called Soymilk. I want each faction's homeworld to produce a specific amount say 4. I also want to ensure that to create the larger ships hull, you would need 1 soymilk for each ship. This way, I can limit the amount of the larger classes of ships to a specific number per factions. Can someone point me to some resources or tut
Can someone point out some resources on how I can create custom set of ships for a custom race? Like, what ships do i need to design (colony, freighter, scout and what else) and how do i set them as a package so that I can select it in the custom race screen.
I got portrait and logo to work. Played around with size and it seems that if I use 1980x1080, it doesn't work. But when I use something smaller like 1280x720, it works. Wonder what's wrong. But I can live with 720. It would probably work if i stick to the aspect ration and go a bit higher, its only with the 1980 that I'm having trouble with. Thanks for the help anyways. What are the dimension for custom race foreground and where should I save it. I created one with 1920x1080 and saved it in the C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions\LeaderFGs location. Still it does not show up as a custom portrain on creating a new race. Please Help.
Where do I place the files? I put it in mod folder and it doesn't come up when I create a new race.
Hi. I created a custom art to use for a custom race. I placed it in the Galciv 3 mod folder, but when I go to select a picture, i don't see it. Image is in PNG format. I have the Steam copy of the game. Where am I suppose to put the png file? And what size and format should it be? i have the small picture as 128x128, large one is 1000x1000. What am i doing wrong?
