Galactic Hero in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

After reading through some threads, I found one idea that would be great. How bout having a Hero or Heroes in game similar to Master of Orion. Like every race should have one atleast that is their Leader. He can be on a planet which would give bonus to that planet or assigned to Captain a ship and that ship would recieve bonus. But say when the Leader Hero dies, there would be a moral drop for a period of time and a new leader comes into power, but the ruling political party would change sin

I got one.. How bout being able to control your ship or fleet during combat. For espionage, how bout being able to send assassins to kill their leader. If successful, then the new leader can be generated randomly who might be more willing to do what you wish, or just plain maniacle that he'll want you dead. Maybe rerolling the type of political party the affected race has. Either strenghtening the old party or going with a new one with different bonus. Another suggest

Yellow Sign, i'm just stating that a space opera type game similar in style to Star Control 2 or Starflight would make a good game using the Gal Civ universe. What is wrong with that? Replacing some of the major races in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

I want to know how to replace some of the major and minor races with some of my own custom races I'm developing. What files should I be looking at? For instance, I wanna change their image and race logo. Also their tone, for instance the Thalians seem to roll the SSSS alot. And is there a way to replace the standard ships (example: Battleship design) with a custom one i made in the shipbuilder so that race would always build that ship when it wants to build a battleship? Need Help on Modding the races in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Hello all. I was wondering if someone can show me how to use the Mod folder. I want to replace a few of the races with a custom race included with their own backstory and pictures. Same thing for the minor races as well. What files should I be looking at? Also, i would prefer to use the mod folder so I can always turn the option off and play the regular game. Anyone know what files goes in what folder in there? Oh, and is there a way to replace say the standard battleship with a

Problem here.. I registered the CE and downloaded the necessary files. I even got the theme. I also updated my serial via the shortcut GalCiv Launcher. But when I run the game, I don't see any of the new hulls. Any help is greatly appriciated.
