I'll just state my circumstance. 1. I'm using Crusader version. Cloned the techtree and using edit mode. 2. Usually when clicking a specialization tech, the 2-or-3 new sub-tech icons appear on top of the icon. This is not true for the Dimensional Defense Focus Tech(internally MasterDimensionalFazingFocus) in warfare techtree. Hi I'm quite new to Galciv3 modding and I've been working for my custom factions and ships through .xml for about a week. They are quite satisfying. Now I'm going to try adding some new technology so I found several files related to tech, i.e. MasterTechSpecializationDefs, MasterTechDefs, TechDefs, and TechAgeDefs. As far as I see these are the only things to define tech; I think I need to mod "ImprovementDefs.xml" and "ShipComponentDefs.xml" for tech to ma
I had a similar issue. I've tried many things and am not sure what exactly fixed that, but I'll suggest just what I suspect: AltariaArt term. If you take a look at the Planetartdefs file, some "ArtDefine" contains "PlanetTrait" term, RadioactiveWorld for instance. I couldn't use radioactive artdefine on my custom planet on my custom starsystem.
Found why I couldn't get the startingship. It was not on the ship list in FactionShipStyleSetDefs.xml. But now it is still frustrating... Now it is written in the mothership's description that it has 2 escort drone properly, but in actual battle the drone does not appear. Any suggestion for suspicious point is welcome. Thanks.
Hello. I am making a personal custom faction, together with a fighter-surveyer ship start. I had some problem to successfully creating the ship in the real game. Here is what I've tried; I made template and design, added my ship on StaticShipBlueprintDefs,ShipClassDefs, tweaked a startingship ability on AbilityDefs to grant ship & added names and description on several ***Text.xml.
