I want to make people aware that the Fences 3.10 beta breaks the compatibility with the popular app Wallpaper Engine, if Fences 3.10 is installed Wallpaper Engine can't replace the desktop wallpaper. Downgrading to Fences 3.09 fixes it, I also made the devs of WE aware of this.

[quote who="basj" reply="1" id="3810703"] Hello, Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know what Fences version you have installed in your old Windows 7 and what version of Fences you're planing to run on your Windows 11? I don't think Fences v1 or v2 would run properly with Windows 11. Anyway, you can raise a support ticket with all the details on your purchase, might need to get it from your friend, and Support will help you from there. <a href="https://

This is a bit embarrassing but is there any way to find out the serial or associated email of an existing Fences installation? I ask because I remember having a friend buy me Fences way back during the early Windows 7 days I think since I haven't had any means to pay online back then. Ever since then I never reinstalled Windows as I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 10 without a reinstall and even on hardware changes I always just cloned the drive so I never had to care about my Fences ac

I wanted to try something new for a while and started my 30-day Trial of curtains, I only want it to theme my window borders so I disabled Taskbar skinning in the options. To skin the taskbar I use the third-party program StartIsBack++, now I know this is third-party software and Stardock has its own taskbar skinning program with Start10, however I paid for StartIsBack++ before and I want to make use of it still. The issue is, if Curtains and SiB++ are enabled at the sa

I have looked around on WinCustomize and DeviantArt but after dA's latest redesign it's quite hard to find WB skins among all the other things. I'm looking for skins that have soft, glassy style going like these VisualStyles for example: https://www.deviantart.com/alexandreph/art/Soft7-2-0-161602097 https://www.deviantart.com/nitnerolf/art/Darwin-245111448 <a href="https

Alright okay thanks for the heads-up! The Skin in question is here: https://www.deviantart.com/s-u-p-r-e-m-e/art/Windows-Strata40-161136218 There are two .wba files in the archive, I used the one with the ° in its name as the other seems even more broken. Specifically the "Regular Windows" substyle, one change I wish to make there is to add glass to the address-bar area. I managed

After I found a suitable workaround for my Firefox issue I started using WindowBlinds full-time on my actual OS today with an very old Skin called Strata 40. This Skin was made with Windows Vista/7 in mind and as such some elements look a bit off in Windows 10. I tried to fix some things up myself with SkinStudio and had partial success but since skin-editing is quite complex I wondered if there's a Discord server or forum specifically for skinning help. Thanks for any

I found the culprit, it's hardware acceleration in Firefox! As soon as I disabled it the UI rendered correctly. Unfortunately that's a major downside concerning WB use but I'll play around with Firefox's internal settings. Maybe I find a way for the UI to be software rendered while the content keeps getting accelerated by the GPU. Alright last update I have for this, it's somehow related to the WebGL Angle part of Firefox's rendering. If you force disable Angle in Firef

Sorry for the double-post but I wanted to say that I updated the VM to 21H1 now and Firefox is still fully glassed inside the VM. I seriously don't understand why I can't replicate this on my actual Windows install, like said I tried a clean Firefox install and a clean profile, glass displays but broken even if I copy the entire Chrome folder over from the VM. I guess one more thing I can try is to copy over the entire profile from the VM and see if anything changes. It

Before installing Windowblinds on my actual system I tested it in a VM and noticed a regression. In the VM with WB 10.84 I could still successfully theme Firefox without enabling Titlebar Mode by using a custom UserChrome.css for Firefox, the entire client-area was affected by the glass effect as you can see here: After installing WB on my actual OS then I noticed Firefox was completely unaf
