I doubt any of you who criticized me have University degrees or work experience in the domain, so pipe down. [sarcasm] Yeah, most PC gamers are high school dropouts, and not very intelligent.[/sarcasm] And who

just play the game, lokiju. That seems like monkey logic to me. I would 'just play the game', believe me...but everytime I reload (which can happen 5-6 times a night) because the computer is shared, I get no production/research...over the course of a week long game this adds up to a lot of missed grow
Guess I'm the only one that hates this bug? Or is it not a bug, but as intended?
I have placed the game on hold for a couple weeks, and want to return, but not until the *extremely* annoying savegame bug is squashed. You know, there one where the first 'end turn' results in nothing being accomplished for that turn. I have to save and load multiple times in a gaming session (just the way my life is), so it's bothersome to lose so much production and research. Is the bug gone yet?

I thought there was an option to turn off surrenders?
You could have downloaded it and been playing already. Plus they just told you they'd ship it to you in Asia...how many companies would do that? And you complain about $10 shipping? That's cheap for foreign shipping!
Um, in my latest games, I had 2, 3, 4, and 5...mostly 5, but not exclusively.
Edit: Oops...in *after* the lock?
Wow. I created this forum to see how many gamers would get there keyboard in a twist, but I never thought that it would bring you guys out of the wood work. I thought that you guys would enjoy a little bashing on someone, so wrote a few things that I have noticed that some people just eat up. So you're a troll? Glad we've got that settled.<br/
Take for example Civ IV... I´m still waiting for the third patch, which supposedly entered QA 2 months ago... And people will never get those English tech trees. Would be faster to learn French.
Oh my Gawd, the game just came out this month, how many friggin updates do you expect? These guys have already outproduced other developers in terms of updates by 200%. Get a grip and stop complaining. All you had to do was ask when new ship parts might be available, without the criticism.
Your full of it Empyrean.Starforce never damaged my computer in any way other than being a pain in the butt.I don't like it but it's far less draconion than this fouled up system. I'm being shafted for running the game on a non-internet computer. .And you should read the download instrutions for the beta before shooting off your big mouth because it doesn't say anything ab
So does anyone have a list of all these super valued techs? Would seem I should beeline for those and just take what I want from the AI.
Plus you have to build the building that gives the bonus. Seems you buy the blueprints from the other race to build that which gives you the bonus.
I don't know how you guys do it, but for me, trading for the AI's ships and starbases is a super inneficient strategy. They place way too high a value on it, even when I have Jedi level diplomacy. But I'm not complaining, just curous exactly how you guys are getting these supposed 'deals' for their starbases. <br
I also thought it went into effect immediately...if not, maybe upgrading them works?
Yep, it has been stated several times. Selling 1-2 techs separately generates more trade income than clumping 4-5 techs together. It's tedious work at best...but until they fix it, not much we can do.
Edit: Double post...so guess I'll add that self-policing in avoiding exploits is the best we can expect for now.
I have never (usually play intelligent/bright AI) had the AI sell me ships or starbases for less than all my techs and 1000s of BCs...and that with me having great diplomacy compared to them, and usually warm or friendly attitude. What's your secret?
I'm playing on intelligent. What I THINK is happening is that early in the game I tend to focus more on mobile than static defenders. The computer see that I have undeffended planets, and sends transports, but doesn't think that I may have fighters zooming around. So it loses all it's transports. Later in the game, when my
SDC is one of the easiest thigns to use in the frikin world. There is no good reason not to use it. While I can't agree that it's very user-friendly, I can understand why it exists. The whole point of SDC is to stop piracy, and it does it as painlessly as possible to the game purchaser. Anyone not wi
Why the hell did 'PantlessOne' start 3 identical threads (maybe more)? You guys are responding to an obvious troll. I bet he's reading this laughing. I mean, anyone who names themselves 'Pantlessone' can't be taken seriously...though I guess we take it as you being a skirt lover? I say so long to you 'PantlessOne'. You'll never enjoy a PC game with that attitude (as you said, you're jaded about this horrible gaming platform). Go play Xbox 360. Edit: <TA
Sooo... can we expect an update for the manual in v1.1????...bump Why do you want them to waste resources on something you have already figured out? The damage is done, everyone who reads paper manuals and hates PDF files already has a broken instruction book. I'd rather them work on new content an
I hate you. A lot.
