Nope, even holding down the scroll wheel doesn't work for me. Guess I'll have to swap in a different mouse when I play this game. That is ridiculous.

Or stagger the invasions so that they occur one turn after the other.
It would be nice if stardock was like some other forums that have a selection of avatars to select from. Makes life sooo much easier.
I can understand that. Don't know that I'd have the patience though.
I still have not been able to use the designer to rotate the ship left and right or to raise or lower the nose or tail to see to position items. For some reason, the standard method the of the players are using just doesn't work. IU haven't programed any buttons, and am using a new microsft wireless mouse and keyboard.
A transport would be quicker.
Aren't some items, like point defense, built in pairs automatically?
8. Encountered a planet I can't invade, doesn't seem to have ships defending. I'll see if this still happens when I load the game.
I know if a race has invulnerability researched, I can't kill it's ships. I don't know if this applies to attacking the race's planets also.
In response to Rand Johnson, reply no. 387: I'll give it another shot. I was always moving the mouse or using another key before, so the ship never rotated up. I thought I did hold one or the other mouse button, but again, I think I was moving the mouse. Thanks.
Having found the Drengin home world so early, you should have gone right to weapons research and built some early combat ships. Knocking out the shipyards and keeping the combat ships overhead to keep knocking them out would prevent them from any further expansion. The only worry would be if their survey ship found a colony ship, need to kill that bugger as fast as possible. Then you can proceed at your leisure until you can build transports needed to capture the Drengin planets.
I still haven't been able to get the ships to rotate in the designer. Tried every combination of shift click, click-mouse wheel, ctl-mouse-wheel, and so on. What the heck am I doing wrong?
Well, I did the opt-out and my speed returned to normal, which made me happy. It's not fun sitting here looking at a screen able to do nothing.
I tried the opt-in, but my game slowed down a lot when hitting the turn button. I will opt-out to see if it returns to the way it was before.
