The v1.6 Beta it up! Grab it on Stardock Central (v1.58[b].008 on SDC, released 4/2/07 - you'll need "Show pre-release versions" checked at bottom to see it) I think this is going to be a really great release - let me know what you think about it or if you run into troubles. Excited to hear what people think about the new features -Jeff

JRSCCivic98: the new v1.01 resolves that as well. These cache files would of cours always be removed upon an uninstall, but previously it didn't delete unused parts of the cache in a timly manner. Starting with this new release, the cache area that DeskScapes maintains automatically clears itself after a couple days of not using a given Dream

Just posting to let everyone know that an update to ObjectDock Plus is coming soon! We're going to be doing an alpha preview of the next version within the next few days that has many new features and improvements, including: Brand new improved weather docklet with a really-cool flyout for the 5-day forecast Live-thumbnails and super-smooth-never-flashes-on-finish minimizing/restoring animations on Vista, that don't mess with your system/hide windows on you/etc. (zooming

By the way, a tip I should add...if you hold click when you're clicking on a folder in a flyout, it will open it up rather than continue to fly it out. I guess if I don't add that "stop levels" option I should at least make a note about that somewhere!

Hi Vince, Not at this time, though I'm hoping to be able to improve it so you can do so. Best Regards, -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer

Hi jimmy - yeah sorry that isn't possible at the moment. My best bet for you would be to rig it somehow...e.g. have a 2nd tabbed dock or zoomer dock, have that reserve the edge, and have that take up the exact size you want it to. From there if you back away the tabbed dock from the edge by a pixel, it won't autohide, and you'll have basically the same effect. More advanced drag & drop isn't possible yet such as dropping on to folders on the dock, I'm hoping to get more advanced fu

Some help to those who's existing Dreams weren't automatically moved over for them! Try the following: Open up the run dialog, enter in the following and press enter: "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Stardock\DeskScapes\Dreams" This will take you to the old place Dreams were stored. (That above path is equivalent to your "C:\ProgramData\Stardock\DeskScapes\Dreams" where "C:\" is the drive Vista is installed onto) Do the same with the following: "%HOMEPATH%\Documents\Stardock

Hi jimmyyy, are you still having the problem of tabbed docks autohiding not on the edge of the screen but pushed in a bit, when reserve-edge is used? Had a hard time being sure of what exactly the problems were being described on this thread ; A screenshot would likly help!

The Rated PG: we had seen a problem with not being able to select "None" for a color of a tab. This has been fixed for the soon-upcoming beta of v1.6. Should be available on Stardock Central tomorrow!

Hey guys, a new beta of ObjectDock / ObjectDock Plus for v1.6 is going to be going up on Stardock Central very soon, maybe even today. A lot of work has been done fixing up & reworking flyouts - should be no visible changes, but under the hood there have been lots of modifications. Please try this beta out and make sure it still works good for you / nothing is broken!! We've tried it out extensivly here but we want to be sure it works for every user, so feedback is apprecated - thanks e

Don't bother trying to get the current tray system working ; it has been completly redone for v1.6 and works much much much better. The first Beta will be showing up on Stardock Central this week!

Good news guys, we figured it out. Had to do with DreamMaker. DreamMaker only needs to be 32bit so it is distributed as such...however it has a file in common with DeskScapes, specifically DreamControl.dll. So, when DreamMaker gets installed/updated after DeskScapes has been installed, the 64bit dll was overwritten with the 32bit one from DreamMaker, and DeskScape's switching would stop working. We're in the process of reorganizing this so that that doesn't happen! Thanks for r

Yep, confirmed that it is a problem that one of the files that the installer installed is a 32-bit version on some machines ; we're working to figure out why that is happening! Thank you for your patience while we work this one out, we hope to have a solution very quickly. In the mean time, I would recommend to uninstall and reinstall DeskScapes using Stardock Central to try and work around the problem. So, steps (1) Uninstall DeskScapes from SDC (you can leave your downloaded dreams in

Hi AzDude, No news on it ; it worked fine on the 64bit machines that I tested. This week I'm doing some work on the DreamMaker program however so I thought I'd hold off til I can get out a new release and see how that one goes.

Ah sorry just read there. 64bit. I wonder if that has anything to do with it ; there's always the chance of some little incompatibility with 64 in the dreammaker that we'd have to work out. Will look in on that first thing tomorrow.

AzDude - 32bit OS? 64bit? Make sure DreamMaker.exe and DreamControl.dll are in the same folder and make sure the "run in" folder is correct. Lemmie know
