I just reinstalled the game for the first time in a while, and immediately ran into this issue in a completely vanilla game, not even a custom race. Please fix this or offer a workaround. It's completely destroying progression in the game, and I can't even revert to a previous save, because the game still freezes on the same turn and AI race no matter what.
