I'm scared. Bungie gets its soul back, just in time for two more companies to lose theirs. It's like an inverse Hydra.
I can answer the first: As long as you're using one at a time, then you are allowed to do so. As for the second: The simplest thing would be to install again on the laptop through SDC instead of copying the game off of the desktop machine (correct me if I'm wrong about the approach you took.)
Thanks, Yarlen. Anything you can do is appreciated, even if it doesn't lead to anything immediately (or ever, should that be the sad case).
Regarding the Haegemonia expansion: It's called the Solon Heritage. The reason that you probably didn't know about it is that it was apparently never published in the US.
Interesting. I can't wait to see haegemonia show up... Even though I own a physical copy of the game, the expansion's impossible to find legally nowadays... Bring on the new multiplayer opponents!
Unique tech trees per civ!!! Preordering ASAP! Thanks again for continuing to improve an already great game, Stardock! (Yes, I'm a little excited about this.)
From my perspective, there are two issues worth addressing in a hotfix: 1) Culture from a destroyed empire remaining on the map, allowing their resurrection. 2) Due to rounding perhaps? it is impossible to build ships up to the ship limit, only to limit-1.

Don't forget the pitiful performance on release. I don't have a bad system (Athlon 64 3700+, 1GB PC3200 RAM, x800 XT video card, WinXP SP2) and I still had to turn all graphical effects to a minimum to get anything approaching acceptable frame rates. When compared against the performance of a game like X3 or C&C3 on my system, SupCom comes up ridiculously short.
Any update on the ETA for JnG Gold?
Probably in here, but a few hours into the game, the marauders can get ROUGH! I have about 8 planets that are *mine*, and I average 2 of them leveled at any time due to marauders. I haven't lost a single planet to enemy player attack! In fact, I haven't even SEEN a major enemy player attack (AI's on normal). I have a massive fleet running around, and just took out an opponent, but this fleet can't respond to the marauders. However, if I split the fleet up, the individual; units will have a
Quite a list! Thanks again for the incredible post-release support!
I noticed today that Rakeingrass has completed Jets 'n Guns GOLD. Is there any way that this upgrade could be made available for purchase through TG.net? I really want the added content, but don't want to rebuy the entire game. Thanks. Edit: Yarlen has informed me that the gold edition should be available next week.
Salutations... I noticed that Astral Masters has been patched to 1.5 on the official site. Unless something's changed since I last hit SDC, we only have 1.41 here, which means that we are cut off from multiplayer play. Will this be corrected soon, or has it already been taken care of? Edit: Yarlen has informed me that the patch should hit in the next few days.
I'll chip in my opinion here as well. Stardock had internal server errors. JoeUser content showed up on the GalCiv2 site. The error was fixed as soon as it was noted. Sounds like a perfectly reasonable response to me. While I'm not a huge fan of reading politicoreligious views that differ strongly from mine, I'm used to it (being a liberal in the South). Discussion and disagreement are vital parts of life. So... Kudos to Stardock for doing every
Sound (combat fx) is sporadic and choppy. It abruptly starts and stops, and will cut out at a certain distance from the camera. I'd be happy to provide a more detailed analysis later. I only had a short time to test. Yamota... What you say about stealing... from that technical definition, you are correct. However, your example with the coffee cup is not correct. The issue here is that you're NOT buying the software. You're buying a license to use it. You may own the physical medium, but not the underlying IP. Similarly, if you purchase a print of a famous painting, you are not authorized to copy that print and sell/give it to others. You can get rid of your copy any wa
Always good to see a new Stardock customer emerge from the realms of the Darknet. Enjoy your stay, and the wonderful customer support you just bought into (plus the funding you've given them towards their next great game). That's the part you can't find in a torrent
It was announced a week+ ago that the beta was closing to all new purchasers. I'm not entirely sure why it still shows up as an option in SDC for you. However, as you pre-ordered too late, you will not have beta access. I believe this has always been Stardock's policy, protecting them from a flood of bug submissions from new beta users in the critical phase just before release.
Also, a Civ collection has recently been released. Perhaps you can find what you need in that collection. WWW Link
The simple answer is that you bought a retail copy of Space Rangers 1 and 2 (as I did a while back). Stardock only sells direct download wersions of these games. It is not possible to purchase a retail game (other than the ones made by Stardock) and register them online with Stardock for download access. While I too wish that I could register retail games with Stardock to get access to the download versions, the simple truth is that Stardock would make no money from such an arrangemen
A rational suggestion? It must have been written for him (Seriously, this is the most sensible thing I've ever seen attributed to JT, even if it does (make that especially since it does) contradict most of what he's done in the past.
Well.. The game takes less than 10 hours to finish. The controls are awkward. The storyline is minimal. The involvement of Sisko and Janeway are cursory. The multiplayer is worthless.. What else.... Ehhh... The game sucks. 3/10
Does this include the original Space Rangers like the retail copy I have on my shelf? If so, you've earned a purchase so I can de-Starforce another title.
