Soooo...... About to finalise my own ship set and then updated to 1.2 and the ship designer will not recognise the majority of the designs that I created after days of work :-( The designs are still in my C:\Users\Documents\my games\GalCiv3\Designs folder but the corresponding .png files are black? Anyone else had this problem or can help?? Recreating everything can be done but I really don't want to ha!

Yeah something along those lines I just havnt looked at custom tech trees too intensely so far - wanted to give a bonus to research of all kinetic weapons and nerf to research of all beam weapons for example. I didn't want it just for weapons but thought it could lead to some very unique traits/tech trees for custom races. That might work with what I've got planned but I wanted a nerf as well as a bonus to make the 3 custom races I've got brewing that more unique - thanks for the tip and that's my weekend planned after work!

hi all! is there a way to make a trait to give research bonuses to specific techs on a races' tree? for example giving a bonus to all Beam research or terraforming rather than to All research? im working away and can't look at the files myself at the moment which is annoying!
Plan to do a huge test with all your races running in the next week or two and then get my own factions done - unfortunately they do consist of yet another human faction but they are almost finished lol! Think its all great work and an inspiration to aspiring modders - it has even converted friends of mine to actually play the game and try their hand! Keep it up!
