I know that custom color palettes will be added in 1.3 or something. However I wonder if you could choose from those palettes and apply them to different ships. So Transports would be one palette warships another. Because I know that it would be really difficult to color individual parts, perhaps since the palette code for ship coloration is already implemented hopefully it wouldn't be to difficult.
