A concept for dealing with this: Add gravity wells to stars and planets. This would make travelling in star systems slower, and so mean that ships rarely, if ever, got to use their full speed unless they were in interstellar space. Make t

Sounds good to me.
Yeah, I put the brakes on mine for the most part. I limited it to first contact and declare war. They need a method of inclusion. Hopefully this is something they add for 1.1
Exactly.
This ser is a marvelous idea. +1
Wow. I guess fortunate for me I was delayed in working on my custom faction conversations. That would've driven me mad. Good find. Hope this is sorted out soon.
How come you dont add the faction files? That way we could have the factions the way you designed them and the files to make our own if we wish? [e digicons][/e] Forgive me if you have already explained this.
I would like to see modifiers for earth-like, jungle, mountainous, etc. and each faction has a preferred type. A bonus on their type and penalties for other types. A planet of the undead...... [e digicons]
A Reaver planet like from the Firefly series... now that is would be interesting.
You know I am surprised none of the stock factions have "extreme" planets as their homeworld. I am assuming this is an oversight by the devs. I mean why would all alien life thrive only in an earth-like environment? I hope this too is something that can be corrected by mods or patched in.
Not sure where to place this but is there a way to mod dispositions for or against factions or species? Say I want to make a faction of synthetics not only hate organics but recognize other synthetics as "kindred" beings. Another example, say Humans have a natural dislike for the Drengin but a fondness for Altarians. I know there is a system in place that compares ideologies but can this be modded to recognize the species/faction itself? If this isn't possible, I would lik
I'd like to see Warp Gates put in but only on colonies/systems you control. From the planet you build it on in it's orbit, and it only connects with other Gates you've built on other planets in systems you own. That's the way MOO2 handled them and it was perfect. It was also end game tech so it made sense. Wasn't OP at all. Now being able to build one in the middle of space behind a enemy empire when you don
Ok very cool. This will be very useful. Thanks again.
Hello everyone. I've been lurking on this site for quite some time. I am huge 4x gamer and love spaced ones in particular. GalCiv3's mod focus has driven me out of the shadows to help contribute to the cause. If any are willing to suffer a few questions, I would be most appreciative. I just have 2 to start. Thanks in advance. 1. Where do I locate the XML file so that I may create appropriate conversation text for created factions. Say for instance i want to add race specific d
I myself am fond of warpgates, especially the assault and defense aspects. I am a fan of the Starfire universe books by David Weber & Steve White. So +1 for this idea. It seems to me most people are opposed to starlane movement.
Thank you ser.
Amazing work here Gauntlet03 . I look forward to adding these to my universe.
