Yeah, the editor tool is quite horrible, but what can we say, it was for free... oh wait... Unfortunately I do not tihnk that a guide will help, I think the tool is just missing out on features and it´s super bugged.. Whatever, I guess I will just wait another 3-6 months for them to fix at least a part of the problems :)

Does the start position set up works also with more than 1 Human? Because I made a map and when i go and create a new game in SP, i get placed where I should. If i load the same map to play with a friend and some AI in MP, we both get placed in weird places and the starting system are wrong (we both chose sol as starting and we get a single size 8 planet) Know anything about this?

In addition to multiple sorting methods (i.e. size, name, class for ships, sort after free/used modules on etc.; I know this function are on the “govern” page but we need them on the list on the right…) we should be able to group up planets, shipyard, SHIPS. This is all nice, but mostly unnecessary.. I mean events and printing stuff is nice... but I started playing the day it was released and followed the forum a lot and a LOT of people, among other things, are asking for one thing: improve the GUI and management. What is it so hard in doing that? for example make the lists on the right (planet, ships, starbases etc) better? like, I dont, know, be able to unite ships in fleet so you dont have a list 300 ships long, or maybe have basic SORTING pos
I do not have the Map Editor DLS, so I cant tell you for sure. Do you mean set starting position after creating a custom map? If you mean this, then it is probably not possible, considering the release state of the game.
Do Custom Races work in MP now?

IMHO, the best early game strategy is as follows: Unload all pop from first colo ship onto earth and take only 0,5. Use this colo ship to colonize a planet FAR away Set earth 100% science, rush buy 2 Labs on earth (on turn 1 and 2), reasearch Int. Travel, Specialization (+1 moves) and ion drives as the first 3 techs. Hello, maybe it was just an issue we alone had... but maybe not. Yestarday we tried to create a new MP game (with the lastest opt-in for alle 3 of us). We tried to create the game several times, but never successfull because the loading screen did not progress and stayed by "uplaoding (or something like that) custom races". We waited on this "message" for about 5-10 mins but nothing happened. I was the only one (out of the 3 of us) with 3 custom races made.

One question: we r 3 persons playing MP and I created, let´s say, ten faction. If I give the folders to the other players with whom I play, will they then be able to see/use all faction in MP as well? Or do I have to create a specific Mod?
