I'm not sure if this is related or not but I've noticed that researching Stellar Marines only gives a +0.1 to soldiering I'm fairly sure it used to be +10%? and after researching it, it seems to bug the whole invasion tree out. *Just noticed the date on this, oops! Could this be a post 1.0 bug?

I agree. At the moment they are little more than the barbarians from a certain other 4x game...
I've had the same issue with the star base screen.Tried a few things suggested here, to no avail. Finally I tried opting out and then back in of the beta. Steam promptly re-downloaded the .1 patch. Loaded up the game went to load one of my saves and was told they were now incompatible. So I started a new game and rushed a star base and BINGO! star-base screen displayed as it should! ##Edit## seems I was mistaken and steam just hadn't updated to the latest .1 ver
