One of my favourite GalCiv memories came from a map, which had a large galaxy, where all the players were. I then discovered a smaller galaxy, still large enough, where no race had spawned, sort of a conquest of the new world sort of feeling. I would like to see a number of map options, perhaps a bit similar to SINS, where you could sketch out some of their greater details of the map, but most of the specifics will still be random enough to not distract from the exploration phase.
