I would prefer a non-steam version as well. But before the Steam fan-boys get started-it is a necessity not a preference for me. Despite assurances of "offline" mode...if you happen to work at a job that has you on travel over 50% of the time and almost all of your work is in remote locations (pretty much anywhere outside the US or a major city anywhere in the world.)
