That doesn't mean they're not carriers. The tooltips won't tell you a ship is a carrier, you just find out that there's suddenly like 20 identical Small ships in the fleet once you initiate combat. If you're so sure that these aren't carriers, post a picture on imgur or something so that we can see it, because the ones we got from you are blank.
I'm working on the photos. What role do carrier
Those ships you're attacking are Carriers. Carriers don't show their fighters until combat begins, so what looks like an easy target is actually a deadly force. I can tell that even though your pictures are blank, because I am an extensive user of Carriers, and I also know well what it's like to be on the receiving end of a Carrier attack. This is why, when you see a ship that has relatively low armaments for its size, or if it&#

This probably comes from an AI buff, but it's very disconcerting. On the map, a fleet indicates that is has two medium-size ships: But

I've tried selecting it as I would in GalCiv II and it doesn't work. Is this a bug or is it done differently?

Just a few game suggestions: -Upgrading my custom ship designs is frustrating. I get a new technology, and now I have to go through all my designs and change them to use it. I have a whole topic on that here . -The battle viewer, though awesome, still needs some work on cameras. Specifically, I often find it is zoomed out so far that the entire battle fills only about a tenth of my screen, with the rest being empty

I'll start by listing my system specs: Processor: AMD 4-Core 3.7GHz (Athlon X4 860K) RAM: 16GB DDR3-1866 (Kingston Fury) Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 970 reference card Monitor: 23" 1080p (Asus VX238H-W) Some bugs I've observed: -Tooltips often don't disappear when I move my mouse. This leaves them in the way of clicking on things, and I frequently have to mouse over something else to get a different tooltip in another l
If you make your design a template you can access the design in subsequent games regardless of what research paths you choose.
That's helpful, but it doesn't solve my problem. I still have to upgrade the darn thing every time I get new techs.

I've logged more hours than I care to admit on the ship designer in GalCiv II, and enough in GalCiv III to know the similarities/differences. Something that really bothers me is that every time I develop a new technology, I have to go through all my custom ships, trying to remember which uses what, and update them, marking older versions as obsolete. Worse, the next time I play I might take a different approach to research; in one game I may have a hyperwarp drive and
