Research per turn limit/bug? in GalCiv Beta Feedback GalCiv3 Forums

Hi, I have 8067 research points per turn in one game but it is completely useless. I thought that I could research like 3 basic technologies in one turn but nope. So I want to ask if it is intended limit or bug that you can research maximally one technology per turn? It is pretty annoying to research lasers from start turn by turn with such research production.
