Doh!! Thanks. But now I can't see some of the folders I wanted to keep because just one dock won't hold everything . . . oh well, guess I need to fork over some cash and upgrade.

I'm not talking about dragging and dropping stuff in the bin, I'm saying that I want to remove my windows recycle bin and just have the one in Object Dock. But there are no options for removing the recycle bin in windows unless you use tweakui, but if I do that then I lose all functionality of the recycle bin in Object Dock. It just shows up as an icon with no options to right click and empty trash.

What are the options available for the recycle bin in Object Dock? I want to use it only in Object Dock, but you can't delete it from the desktop. So I removed it using the tweakui feature in windows, but now it won't work properly in Object Dock. ??

Help - WindowBlinds 4.20.017 - Lockups with Win2000 in Stardock Software WinCustomize Forums

I started having weird window lockups a few days ago. Meaning, certain windows would just be unrepsonsive, especially the windowsblinds configure panel, but other windows too. All I could do was ctrl/alt/delete and then shut them down. It was strange because it would only affect one window, other windows behind would function normally. The problem cleared up when I unloaded windowblinds, so I updated to the latest version, and it still happened. Then I uninstalled WB4 and went back

Stadock Central - extremely slow download speeds in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

Hi, I'm not complaining here, but just want to understand what the problem is. Currently my download speeds are between 30 to 900 "BYTES" per second, yes, bytes. I'm still waiting for a reinstall I'm doing for ObjectBar (2MB) and it has been taking over an hour . . . and I'm on cable! I can download 2MB anywhere else in less than a minute. Right click on the object and select properties. Then in the general tab, select the change box beside "Type of Object" and make it a "shortcut". Then you can select "file shortcut" for your program, or "folder shortcut" for a folder. There are tons of other great little features you can customize the icons for too. Just play around with the options. Just remember to save your theme before you exit.

I'm running the pixtudio object bar theme and desktopx with windowblinds . . . and every time I ran a 3D game and then exited back to the desktop my icons and bars were all over the place. Fortunately there were a couple that didn't move, so I checked their properties against the ones that did and finally narrowed the problem down to "docking" issues. Thanks, that worked. I had some trouble though getting the bar on the left from resizing itself. When I shrunk the work area in DesktopX the bar kept shrinking too. I finally found I had to go to the advanced options of the bar and de-select where it says "When finding the size of the screen do not include the area taken up by other bars". Hmmm. Man there's a lot of options with these things!

Object Bar / How to get IE to auto resize within the bars? in Stardock Software WinCustomize Forums

I'm using the Pixstudio object bar with the bottom task bar, left side bar, and top bar . . . and I want IE to open up within the space that's left over so it doesn't go overtop of the bars. I've looked all over for any options, but I stumped. I realize I can just move the window size, but I want it to be able to resize automatically within that space when I click on maximize. Thanks. Stardock Central download speeds? 30 "bytes" per second?! in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

What's up with the erratic download speeds from Stardock? I'm updating a bunch of my programs and I'm getting anywhere from 30KB per second (which is acceptable) to as low as 30 bytes per second!? One current download, that I'm still waiting for, is taking forever, and it's only a couple of megabytes. I'm on cable and at most sites I get 50 - 250 KB/sec. And why do I sometimes see the speed pick up right near the end of the download? It will go for 30 bytes/sec for the longest time

Two different computers and OS - same registration? in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I run win2000pro at home and winxphome at work. Today I made a disk with all my winblinds/winstyles/icons from home and I'm installing them here at work. Are there any problems with copying over winblinds from 3.51 to 4? Should just run 3.51 on both computers, instead of 4 on my xp system? Are there any other issues that would pose a problem with having the same registration on both systems?

Just uninstalled, reinstalled . . . same thing. It must be something wrong with the file type association. It should do an automatic "install from disk" operation when you click on the file, but I don't know where to associate it to do this. Hmmm.

Uhhh, like I said I tried opening it with wbconfig.exe and wbload.exe and neither will load the file. wbconfig just opens up, but nothing from the file loads. I can save the file, then use the "install from disk" option, but again . . . I want to have them install automatically like I had before . . . click on the download, select open, then the file loads.

What .exe do you associate the windowblinds .wba files to? I used to be able to click on a download and have it install automatically, but for some reason I changed the association and now I can''t figure out what to associate it to now. I''ve tried wbconfig.exe and wbload.exe but neither of those work. I can save the file and then install it via the config program, but I want it to install automatically . . . .??? Icon font colors?? in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I've gone into the advanced options for changing fonts, but I still can't seem to get the font colors to change. When I load different windowblind themes I get either white or black for the fonts, but with some of my backgrounds black is hard to read and I want to change it to white. Also, how do you get the backgrounds of the fonts to be a solid color instead of transparent? I used to be able to do this by setting active desktop on or off, but now it doesn't seem to make a difference
