Do I need to keep the .zip file? in Galactic Civilizations I

I've downloaded and installed the game, is it safe to delete the big .zip file? Can I download it again if I get a new computer?

Pathetic Noob question in Galactic Civilizations I

I'm downloading Galciv_setup_full.zip (465.69 mb) and I already have stardockcentralrc1.exe (2.39 mb) Do I run the .exe first or unzip the .zip file and install the game first? Please write slowly, as I am a slow reader ;)
