Ahh the infamous race of O'Neill! And yeah I can do Stargate as well after I finish Star Trek :) Tho I don't plan to do any of the race files, I think half the fun of the races come from your interpretation of them. But I may once the workshop is out, never know lol. As for seven of nine, I'll put that on my list if you like :) Tho i am surprised no one has asked for Picard like in this pic xD hehe &

Mine was accepted, and on the accepted page. But not in the star name XML. I made a ticket so see what happens. Mines 00zim00, only thing I an think of is maybe they don't like numbers in the name. If that's the case Zim would be fine I guess.. Or Irk even :p, also a name in the show lol.
I'm not sure if anyone will be interested but I am nearly finished making some high resolution backgrounds, race portraits and logos for the major factions/races of Star Trek. FG and BG images http://imgur.com/a/FmjXT#0 Logos http://imgur.com/a/0WmGV "Small" portrait http://imgur.com/a/X69w7 ----
You know what I feel is missing, techs that give a flat reduction to empire approval. Even maybe even a one per player building that decreases approval penalty on a global basis. Although would I prefer a tech as if your planet with the building is taken your screwed. The game Endless Space had this and did it very well, it allowed you to expand at your own pace and as soon as you started getting to big you could just research say a 20% empire approval bonus. Galciv 3 could do the
Already done last week, wish I could give you more points again :p
I have noticed they don't spawn anymore on map creation. Depending on your chosen frequency there would be an initial spawn, and then they would replenish based on the frequency. Now there is no initial spawn, on map creation there is none, and it solely rely on the slow replenishing aspect. Maybe its a balance so prevent you or the ai getting a huge bonus at the start from the mass of anomalies. Edit: My mistake, maybe it was fixed or i was just wron
I may be wrong, but the way I believe it works is the "scale" of the parts themselves mean nothing when you actual view the ships. Every ship, depending on hull size is automatically scaled up or down to what is considered the "average" size of that hull. Im guessing its more to make it easier to identify what size a ship is just by looking at it. Prevents making a tiny ship be say as big as a capital ship, and vice versa.
Im not sure if this is what your were meaning, but when your constructor is taking a short-cut though empty space outside its normal ship range, you can stop it half way though and construct a starbase.
I mentioned the non expansion bug before. Fill out a ticket and upload a save game for them. I think this issue has been fixed. I had that issue with the Iconians and Brad mentioned they fixed it.
Done :) Ticket ID #ERD-591-68551 hopefully its already fixed in the next patch
Overall the Ai seems to be getting better, just a few minor issues I have come across in the newest optin. I know a few of these have been mentioned elsewhere but here they are anyway. -the AI absolutely LOVE Resources, but seem to hate relics. They seem to be prioritizing resources over relics, any human player knows a flat 10% bonus from a relic is waaay more important to claim then one antimatter out in the middle of nowhere. -It may be just coincidence... but is the
I was just about to make a post about this, i have a feeling that the AI is able to see any resource you can also see.
Stardock: @00zim00 that's actually not a bad idea, i'll send it to the publishing group Stardock: the thing is Elite Founders are handled by stardock, not steam -- so your steam client doesn't know that you're an elite founder
I suggested this to Adam today on the Stardock twitch steam, thought I would bump it to help remind Adam or anyone of stardock of it. I know how chat can get so overwhelming xD. This woul
Thanks for the news Island Dog, ill be there :)! Just one request, is it possible to make a post with all know hosted streams and dates in advance? I live in Australia so it starts at 5am when its 3pm for you. If i have an advanced warming I could make sure I make them all :P. In fact your post now is at 340 Am for me, was just lucky to be up hehe xD Thanks :)
I would be surprised if there wasn't at least an angry Joe review, he loves space Sims :)
Yeah you can turn them off but then obviously you can't see the hex's lol. And when they are on the are kinda bright. That's why I suggested the opacity sliders.
I kinda agree, I like the bright hex within my borders but I would really love a separate opacity slider for both the inner an outer hex outlines
I find it also happens more frequently when you save and load a lot in a short period of time. Maybe when your loading its not cleaning some data, or sometimes I save then load an old save right away while the game is still saving it the background. U know its still saving when it had "~savename".
Has been reported before on older versions, still happening randomly if you were not aware. :)
Is there already a forum on this? If not, anyone have links to some clips we could use for custom races or even new portraits? I know there are issues with the version of Bink Stardock are using not being the free version but im guessing if we have the correct Bink converter they will still work? Unless its disabled on the games end.
Drengin now Paranoid instead of religious zelaots Drengin now unwavering instead of unrelenting Krynn are now religious zelaots instead of Patriotoic
So no race uses Patriotic or Unrelenting now? is this just until you fix some balance with those traits and then you will bring them back in some way?
Tonight's update is a pretty huge update to the AI but it will also be the last one before release barring some serious bug.
Looking forward to the patch notes, always a highlight in my day :P im odd i know hehe
I actually had a similar thing happen with a custom race i made, they had saved over 14000 credits by turn 35 and it keep going higher and higher as i was playing. Not sure if its the same but maybe frogboy has fixed it already. Funny thing as well is they had the Yor tech tree, Yor really don't get any good bonuses to money xD. Difficulty was challenging if that matters. The Ai stuff i gave them was as follows. 1 Growth 2 Tech 3 Fort 4 Dip 5 We
My one issue is this. Isn't it 96 hours as this is the 10th and its released on the 14th?
maybe they have to give it to steam/gog a day early or something lol
Would be nice to have a "return to nearest base an repair" button, that sends your ship to the nearest starbase, shipyard or planet and once repairs auto rejects. I always forget where I sent them or forget I have ships repairing on a planet.
