Love the idea of asteroid damage but instead of having a fixed number of damage, we should have a rollout number (let's say 5% to 25% damage) and if you have a fleet, the damage should be different on every ship. What do you think?

The tech ages have a purpose and I don't want to see it disappeared. The game will be easier if you can max one tree straight from the beginning.
