Okay, about the rally points, don't you think it would be better to not show it at all for other civs? That takes care of that.

If a shipyard is sponsored by multiple planets and you flip one of them, should the shipyard be flipped then?
Same for me. Three times now. It has never worked.
I found that the tech bar had to reach just shy of the end of Age of Ascension (nearly full red bar) before I could research the research victory techs. See if that is also your issue.
Yes. Text is misleading. Also the devs are tossing around ideas for how to balance it so that folks do go around with all their planets with ridiculous classes.
It's not just clutter. What if the AI tied the shipyard to another planet to complete/purchase a transport? To prevent that you'd have to declare war to destroy the shipyard, which kinda goes against the cultural victory ideal. Something should be done to prevent that. Though I suppose it would probably just culture flip back quickly, so meh.
...Deleted... nevermind
I got Alliance to eventually show up. Mission accomplished! Now why did it take so long? I have two theories: #1 Our relations have to stew for a while #2 The competitor has to be in Age of War or beyond I strongly suspect #2, but haven't proved it yet.
It does not show on either side.
Devs say this is a hotly debated feature. Time will tell.
At the top center are arrows to go to the next civ. It's not exactly what you want, but it's a step in the right direction.
The Iridium have had all the alliances techs for several turns now Because I gave those to them.
In the current beta, if you had not already designed a constructor with 2+ modules in beta 1, you cannot make one. Try it with the Krynn.
Medium map with all 5 races. I'm Terrans and have researched all Diplomacy techs through Age of War. Everyone is Overjoyed with me. I have three +'s for having a better diplomacy score than everyone. Yet none of the trade windows is showing me the option of making an Alliance, not even the Iridium, with whom I've traded all of the diplomacy techs. All I want is to make an alliance, something I've been unable to do since the start of beta 2. Is there some trick I'm missing?
Well I'm on a new map, 0.51 beta, all 5 races, all victory conditions allowed. My relations with all 4 is "Overjoyed". I have researched all of the Diplomacy techs I can through Age of War. I even traded those techs to one of the other races. Yet in none of the trade windows am I given the option to offer an alliance. What's up?!?!?!
The Dregin manufacturing buildings are much weaker than those of other races. The pace of the Drengin actually feels much slower as a result. I was told there was a round of buffs to those buildings, but if so it looks like the Drengin were skipped. As for the Altarians, I don't know how to get past Entertainment Centers for approval buildings. The other races have a building that opens up in the "Enjoyment" tech. Altarians don't. They do have the next level: Stadium, but it&#
Usually my games update automatically. I start up GC3 and it's still telling me it's 0.50. Is the update opt-in? If so, how do I opt-in?
I suggest, going forward, folks put their bug reports in the "Support" forum. Stardock folks actually post responses to topics in there, so we know our bug is acknowledged. Not that I think Stardock isn't communicating well; they are. Just that maybe it helps them stay on top of reported bugs when they're reported in one forum.
I think (hope) we'll find, once we get to release, that the game's diplomacy and battles are much more rich than GC2. The UP is already more interesting and impactful, as are treaties and alliances. Battles are going to make use of more tactical stats than just attack, defense, and HP. They will take into account weapon range, ship speed, and we cannot forget the carriers. Add in that resources' (durantium, etc.) impact on ship stats, admiral veterancy, it seems much more strategi
Just to be clear, you used cheat commands to make super planets without being harassed by your opponents, and that's overpowered?
You can drag and drop re-order them. But I do sometimes find it annoying that if I no longer need a colony ship my options are to a) waste the resources to get it built the rest of the way, or b) cancel it losing that production. Still if that's the way it's going to be, it just means I need to start factoring that into my strategy.
Though perhaps improvements can be made, I always like to go back to some thing they say from time-to-time on the dev stream (paraphrased): Multiplayer is geared toward co-operative play against the AI. Their main goal is to balance for player vs. AI gameplay, not player vs. player. In the former case, sometimes you get screwed but your ally can pick up the slack. In the later case, one of you is going to get stomped.
Perhaps you found a different bug. Mine wouldn't launch from a shipyard sponsored by Earth and Mars, the former had plenty of population.
