Em, Did this was noticed? pshaw ?

Hey all! First of all- Good job on 1.7 patch- a long waited jewel indeed. As some of you know, Im one of those insane map lovers! Whenever Stardock releases a new patch or dlc- I hook up insane map and see how far have we got! These are my findings: The GOOD! * Less micro on starbases! It really saves time. * AI is more smarter, surely but steadily it gets smarter by each patch(not there yet) The BUGS!</
:) Great work Guys!
I got more info. Ashes is hogging all the QA resources. So 1.7 has been submitted to QA but it hasn't passed QA yet.
So... whats the new ETA?
So Who is right? Paul says next week, Brad says this week What does the Tech guy say who will upload the actual beta to Steam? :D :D :D
Make or brake in short! This week ETA, time & day? :)
Hey all! There are 2 kind of people playing this game. The ones who actually boughed it(steam gog etc) and the pirated ones. Usually the ratio is 1:3 (aprox) Now I wont be talking ethics behind this and all, but just in this case- game cheat engine, as its very popular to both communities. The facts dont lie, with each patch Stardock releases theres about 1k more downloads, but when the new trainer was launched yesterday- insta 5k downlo
Will there be a custom NPC merc available to hire? Like a warship NPC which you hire for certain resources and it asks you what you want to do with it- and does it on auto.
Reading some posts here and on steam- community may be harsh at times. I understand Brad and his side of the things. And Community as a whole also has some points to add. I think this is the case where current DLCs> Expansion you know. I mean those DLCs combined change the whole play experience by 180- they are just that good. Those Dlcs were 5$/euro each so thats 20 bucks. Now if we compare DLCs(4) vs Expansion .... you know. In my mind Expansion giv
I tried some games looking at notifications- when your empire is small its okey- lots of information there. But it becomes nuisance once you get large and big. As some people already said- the end turn button already blends the most important things though I agree- when your culture or other starbase flips or AI conquers a planet somewhere- some sort of pop up warning could be nice.
Whoo, just finished reading both posts. Tough croud indeed. I liked one guy who said - a Long term rts player knows what he or she wants. Its passion, adrenaline and that wow factor that still amazes you. Only few games today deliver this. As to frogboy. No, we dont want you to make sup com 3, but we want you to listen. We want Ashes to be good, to be meaningful. Its a bit harsh to say we are better stickin
Sadly, in some points i have to agree. Frogboy requested supcom veterans to give feedback on Ashes, when those players gave it, he ignored most or said: we want a diffrent game and Ashes is something else. Kinda saying thank you but we are making this game as we want to make it. I know Frogboy as a person is a good CEO, but he is very conservative and ill minded as to feedback from people that really matter. Vets and pros did try to give some idea
Things from Zoom games and reading all the posts: I get ashes want to re-invent the wheel- that's ok- but for that it must be one of a kind. Zoom works out great if it doesn't impact performance. Until the wheel is re-invented- could take years- give an option like a simple tick- "Zoom enabled", "Zoom disabled" that way you would avoid flame wars from both parties until heat signatures or even a different approach is re-designed.</
One question.... Where is your founders badge? Legitimate founders all have one...
Just some clarification on my part. There are no issues if you play the game on insane as normal. But we all have our own playstyle and my personal- i do use some money boosts as i just do not have all day to play this game, besides we play for fun and our single player game is solely our own. Though if u get the lucky 68888.... money relic(still in game) u get unlimited money. So in regards to that you can say the game engine is being stres
Insane maps are not optimized. Devs are aware of the issue but other things take priority now, like expansion. My guess more optimizations will arrive when expansion comes out. From my experience on insane maps there is a cap of roundly 300 planets u can have where performance drops, around 300 starbases when performance gets down and about 500 to 1000 ships(random) when performance drops. As i have similar systems as yours
Yeah i know that however there are a ship layout that spreads out weapons and defenses evenly- it worked before now it does not. I wouldn't mind if the auto builder would update my designs- no sir- just there are moments when you are at war with someone and you go full steam reasearch. You get beams 1 turn, missile the other etc- its tedious if you have to "rework" all your designs- its time consuming. Yes you can build individual ships- beam(corvette), kinetic etc
Hey there The auto Builder still is broken in patch 1.3. The all distributed ship designs do NOT distribute defenses evenly, they focus on 1 thing. If you research shields it will place all shields on ship, if armor etc. Before it distributed defenses evenly (patch 1.1 i think), but with new patches it
Theres a new video at IGN with Endless space 2 gameplay. It all smells like the same game with improved everything but one thing did caught my eye- The spaceship battle sequence has turret animations and ship animations. Its beautiful as hell and the Developer said all ships would be buildable. Galactic civilization is a 64-bit game so I wouldn't mind extra +3 GB for ship animations! Maybe not in base game but in an expansion - why not? Wouldn
In recent patches the ship auto builder has been messed up. The medium/ large/ Massive hulls that are meant to be "Jack of all trades" doesnt work as it used to. The Defense shifts to 1 most powerful tech you have be it shields, point or armor. It used to spread evenly across all three or two as you unlocked techs. Now it chooses 1. As this is hard coded in you can not change it. I really liked G
1. Constructor micromenegment hell in Late game. This one is a downer and needs to be made fun and seemles. On insane I can get easy 300-500+ starbases. It takes 5 to 15 min to manage them each turn. 2. Planet governers. Peek at endless space, whilst not perfect, They get the job done. 3. Fleet manegment. Its ok until you upgrade your fleets.Once you do that They f
I have noticed a very annoying slowdown performance in late game. The rig uses I7 Oced with 16GB ram and a decent GFX card with 3GB video ram. When the game is loaded and up it uses around 3,3GB ram and utilizes aprox 29-31% cpu, thats almost nothing. This is insane map. The game started to hit performance problems nearing 200 colonies.
Btw, are you guys making use of the command tab in govern? It lets you control much of your Empire from there.
Frogboy- you mean this? Its not intuitive... Can you give a short manual on this? Can you describe how this screen is intended to ease the gameplay?(micromanagement) I have tried to use this but it kinda limits. Sure i understand you can give commands to build certain ships and go places a
Agree, large empires take much time Love to play on large maps because its very fun. You have lots of colonies, lots of ships, starbases- the whole screen comes alive- its so deep. You can feel the power- you can feel how each civilizations plays out- its unique feel- you cant do that on small maps- some things take big maps to happen. Its easy to manage your colonies with starbases up to number 70. It then becomes longer when you go past 120. And
