As far as the crash goes I'm not sure what would be causing that, although it could be one of the parts your using as some of them have issues. What I believe your looking for is a new ship style and as DeimosEvotec said Gauntlet is a good person to talk to when it comes to ship styles. I'm glad your working on the wiki, lore for a faction is what sets how I play them, without it factions feel a bit lacking even if the visuals are amazing. :)

Would you have any tips for creating Logo's for a race? I have references for the Logo's i'm trying to create, however my inexperience with digital art is causing me a bit of trouble xD
The following 2 lines in FactionDefs.xml control which research adviser you see in the game. Terran_ResearchAdviser_Approach.bk2 Terran_ResearchAdviser_Idle.bk2 Unfortunately I don't know of a way for you to change it with the in-game race designer.

I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to give a faction a star-base in its home system. I have several minor factions I am creating that in their lore have a star-base as a capital rather than a planet. One example is a faction that is based out of a star-base orbiting a gas giant. The only ways I see of showing this in-game would be either creating new planet graphics that look like a starbase, or adding a starbase to the starting system of the faction. I believe devs did say they had plans for wormholes in the future, so I agree that there is of course the possibility of some kind of gateway travel. Although the most balanced way I could see them implementing this would be something you construct at the entrance and exit of a wormhole. The instantaneous travel across the galaxy with these already exists in the game, we already have the ability to control how often they appear when generating a map, and it does add a cool "space highway" fea

I will look into the guide and tutorials, thanks :) I was more wondering because if you could create a unique ship style you would be able to add custom made resources for ship parts as well as not having to worry about the clutter in the designer from every custom race using the same few styles. Like with the Kuja faction Dumhed created, it may have its own ship styles for everything but when you go into the iconian ship designer
I've seen alot posted on creating new ship style sets but would anyone have any idea how to create a new ship style? This way you could create for example, a ship style that uses the components of Terran and Krynn together in the designer when building ships for your ship style set. Well, when my own race project is finished you can take a look at my work and if you like it I could always look into designing custom ships for your races as well if no one else has taken on the project by that point :)
I was looking in there and couldn't seem to find it, Could the name be different from the one displayed in-game? Edit: Found it, its listed as Onyx_Material_01 rather than antimatter, thanks for the help :)
Good to know :) It just seemed odd that the internal name for all the other ones matched the display names so when I when to use it I was confused xD
I am currently creating a new race and using the in-game editor I used antimatter as the visual material for their ships, however I can't find an xml file to give me the name to place in this line instead of the Iconian steel. In order to add points in the Race trait "Accurate", as its listed in-game, you need to add SharpEyed in the following line SharpEyed1 It seems to me like the name must have been changed in the text files at some point and the references in the xml files may still be using the old name. This is just a guess, but I figured that this would be good information if anyone is having issues adding the Accurate Trait.&nb
The Chimeran Control faction file is in here twice, other than that looks pretty good and I like the descriptions you made :) Are you planning to add specialized ship styles for each faction?
