It crashes on me sometimes, but for the most part I can run it.

I'm having a lot of problems on this campaign also. I can't see anyway to defeat the Excalibur in the early game, so I don't really bother building any ships (except colony ships) early on. I tried to go for dreadnoughts, but I only made it to battleships, by that time the Korx are overwhelming me with transports. Any ships that I build are taken care of by the Excalibur so four transports or so take a star system. They make it through my 5 or 6 systems pretty fast. I am going to try ag
How did you get past this one? I just finished playing through it for the first time and damn that Excalibur is invincible! I tried everything I could think of but I couldn't even dent that ship, and with 10 moves one can't run away from it. even the two space sharks I liberated had no effect on this monster ship. As none of my ships could stand up to this ship I decided to try battleships to see if they would fare any better. By the time I got to battleship tech I was being overwhelmed by

There is also a logistics tech, I can't remember exactly where the tech was, but it was somewhere in the industrial tech tree. This tech allows a wonder to be built which adds 25 to one's logistics ability. This will decrease the amount of cash that is required to build a starbase. ~SDC~
I had the same problem and I just adjusted my monitor and everything was fine. My other apps were a little brighter, but nothing was washed out, so I didn't need to keep adjusting/unadjusting as I thought I might. ~SDC~
I use the scroll bar on the mouse for all of these type of adjustment, I find it very convenient. ~SDC~
Build the SB upgrade that slows down ships by one point, this causes the space monsters to become immobile. Then it is easy to kill them when you can get enough ships together. ~SDC~
I printed out the 3 page version of the tech tree from JavaScout's excellent site and taped them together LOL . I does help out quite a bit. I also printed out the 9 page version that shows all improvements and where they fit into the tree. That one gets set up on my dining room table when I need to look at it. IMHO it makes a huge difference and I would even pay for a nice big color version, although it would have been nice if that would have been included in the retail version.
I found a 26, the random event that came with the planet, when selecting the evil route increased planet quality by 41%. The final result, a whopping 37!
38, it is nice to see I am not the graybeard of the group. So what is the mean age of the players? The standard deviation will probably be pretty large from what I have read here.
I just got it too! :) But it doen't look like there is a way to download version 1.01 and the BonusPak yet (unless I am missing it). Would it be too much to ask to get this download up a bit early? Please?!
