Heck, I think I own every one of your (Essorant's) skins besides this one. I'm going to go purchase it just because of this poster. Man, if you charged an hourly rate for using your skins, you could have been fairly well-off from me.

Looks good, now I only need to wait for a version of MyColors which will install on Windows 7. Thanks SD!
Just putting my input in here, but it seems I'm in agreement with most of the posters here: if the master skin is to my liking, I have NO problem with paying money for a high-quality skin.
In case anyone's reading this, it occurs under Vista32 when using Eclipse as well. Both of those are SWT-based apps, I haven't noticed Swing apps behaving the same way. Screenshot here: http://picasaweb.google.com/Ron.Eisele/Screenshots/photo?authkey=HpP7pgHoET8#5224772120853484050 This isn't a new thing, I've noticed this for quite some time but haven't bothered to check into it or post a bug report. The effect is the same when the card is on default settings or oc'd. I also
Seabass' post mentions laptopvideo2go. In case it matters, I used that site for years to get updated drivers for my laptop (HP zv5000 with a Nvidia GF4200Go chip in it), and never had any problem with them. Of course, updating drivers isn't something to take too casually, so make sure you take appropriate precautions. Just wanted to add an endorsement for the tip. Cheers and good luck!
The file that I referenced above was in the 'temp' directory. Zubaz, the 'Installed' directory only contained the 'wb6.log', not 'wb6.xml'. I removed the wb6.log (didn't see anything obviously wrong in the log. Here's the last output in that log: Extract: C:\DOCUME~1\ntisre01\LOCALS~1\Temp\sdcentral\PublicDocuments\Stardock\WindowBlinds\Molten\MoltenShellStyle.xps_ 1 | 10/01/2007 15:27 Extract: C:\DOCUME~1\ntisre01\LOCALS~1\Temp\sdcentral\PublicDocuments\Stardock\Window
Whoops, sorry for the lack of OS info! It's Windows XP x64 SP2 (up-to-date on patches). I'm in full control as admin (etc)...everything seems to be going well 'till that point, then BAM...stops. Reading 42% complete right now, been like that for ~ 30 minutes or so. Cheers!
Greetings, all. Long-time OD user here having some (first-ever) difficulty with WindowBlinds. Was getting some weird skin issues (WB6) and some of these forum posts seemed to indicate a good 'ol reinstall/clean would/could take care of the issue, so I went for it. Now, when trying to install WB6 from SD Central, it hangs at 'Extracting: MoltenShutdownDialogButtons.bmp'...tried to reget all the xml data, change server from US1 to US2, cleaned Windows' temp dir, nothing seems to shake it loose. An
I'd like to thank GreenReaper for releasing this...I break it out every winter since I don't get much snow where I live now (TN, grew up in northern Iowa) and I miss snow. Thanks!!! :CONGRAT:
Don't worry about $, after all the skins of yours I've enjoyed thoroughly, I'm still going to owe you! Great work, and thanks!
Anyone know what's new in WB 6? Anything for XP users? I tried searching for "WindowBlinds 6" using the search function up above but only found a screenshot by frogboy... Regardless, I've been more than happy with WB5! [edit] Never mind, google found some articles. Cheers!
I had noticed a marked slowdown in the arrival of new skins from those authors you mentioned...I had feared they were all 'done' with skinning. Good to hear so much exciting stuff is coming up!
Wow, simply... wow . Great stuff, as usual. Just picked 'em up, now I just have to decide which one to use
I'd vote for letting them participate if they so desire. If one of their skins wins where it obviously doesn't stand up, it'll be obvious.
I'm pleased to hear the game is doing so well...go Stardock!! Myself, I'm waiting for the demo...sorry, I just have to try before I buy
Looks like it's going to be simply awesome, guys! February gaming goodness, this and Fight Night R3 on the 360...simply awesome. There goes my GPA
daelyn, no sense in trying to talk sense into 'em. The senseless act of posting help wanted in support forums for cracked software is beyond my comprehension. Yeah, I know...it just gets frustrating seeing some of these comments! I'm sure many of us feel the same way. Stardock makes the only so
Did you notice Stardock try to postrate you to some of the skins to buy it when you purchase WindowBlinds 5? $9.99! Come on! I hope in future they don't plan on selling their skins. It's bad enough I have to paid subription fees to download skins now. The skin they are trying to sell is not even that good. Imagine if no author ar
No problems here whatsoever...unloaded WB 4.6, set to default XP theme, installed WB5 Beta, reboot, apply Aura skin...beautiful! Just FYI: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600) 3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 16 kilobyte primary memory cache 1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache ATI FireGL V3100 [Display adapter]<b
I don't know where I'd been, but I didn't even know you (essorant) offered 'premium' skins...this skin pack is awesome, plus the 'Cooler' suite from your personal site...simply beautiful. Lessee, with 8 new essorant skins, I should need to switch skins sometime around November or so Incredible work!
Great article, BlueDev...audio players are one of those things I think it's easy to get "locked-in" to one's tool of choice and forget that the other players are progressing all the while...this article reminded me that foobar has been around a while, so I gave it a whirl and am loving it. Yep, could have done it some time ago, but sometimes we all need a peek/poke in the right direction. Cheers! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/BigSmile.
GT3 is an interesting skin, indeed. Some skins have so many little subtleties, so many nuances, that it sometimes takes me by surprise when i notice something new about a skin i've been using for >1 day....gt3 is definitely one of those.
I don't know that there's any sense discussing "x isn't in the same league as y" here as it's based on unique member downloads. Not that it was a flaming post, mind....myself, I always find myself liking brewman or essorant's skins, but they're all killer there in that list. Good to see some of the authors reaping some benefits...
Sadly, I'm one of the users out there with Win2K. What to do? I'm off to buy Win XP! Cheers!
