Adding smaller updates would be cool, especially since I've modified some of your races to use the Galactic Diversity Custom Traits Mod and the Insane-Abundant Balance Mod. Although keeping it as a full reinstall wouldn't really be much of a hassle for me either.

There are at least two mods that add full shipsets; neither are available yet through the workshop since Steam can't support those mods. The mods are avilabale through links here on the forums. They are the Star Trek Federation Ships Mod(one very large set), and Gauntlet's Race Mod (which adds 11 sets I believe).
I recently encountered this exact problem after installing Gauntlet's Race Mod. That mod adds 11 new ship styles and the 11th one can't appear on the drop-down list of styles because you can't scroll down.
Top.Notch.Mod. I was really looking forward to this update and the bug race ships, they're super high quality. Glad it's finally here.
Apparently this is still an issue in 5.1. I just designed a few ships and saved them as templates and they are not showing up at all in the game. I haven't checked if they show up in a new game, but it just seems odd that a template designed in the designer won't become available immediately. At least they should save as a current in-game design AND as a template.
Hi! I bought the Beta recently after having played GalCivII for... a significant amount of time to say the least, and I'm really loving it. Some things that have caught my attention thus far: The concept of Ideoligies is fantastic, it really makes each playthrough different than the last. Starports are really cool and much better than building ships from planets. I love the standard ship designs for Terrans. Ship design
You can't exactly rename the start system. What happens is that the game gives the home star and all the planets the name of the homeworld. I recently made a custom version of the Terrans and the game renamed the entire Sol system "Earth"; Mars became Earth IV, the sun was called Earth, etc.
