Stradock, Can we please get some clarification on tactical speed (at least fix the tool tip). It would be nice know if I should bother fitting any of my ships with sublight engines. Thanks.

I think the problem is that if both parties in the diplomacy screen dont offer an alliance its just one sided. For example you may have proposed an alliance with the Iridium without getting one in return. So if somone declares war on them or they declare war on someone else you bound by the alliance but they didnt offer you an alliance so they have no obligations if you are attacked. The problem as I see it is that if the other player doesnt have that treaty
Mostly because only like .5% of people use it, and there are already so many free ways to do it for most games the time an money isn't worth it to make it. Brad suggests to just set up a Dropbox with the save directory with a friend and play that way. Same thing. They are only a small company with like 20 people, they prefer to use that money elsewhere, which I kinda agree. That being said they might look into it later down the line like a
Could maybe a Dev chime in please, seems most people are confused. Unless a person who knows how to mod can check in the game files or something [e digicons]:P[/e] hate to think they are just broken..
Agreed. I was going to post the same question before I saw the OP's one. I had a game were I built embassy's on most of my planets but did not see any difference in the diplomacy screen. &

I saw a post about this issue recently but cant find it so I'm just going to open a fresh thread about it. In my current game I noticed he following bug. I was building 2 refinery's on separate planets. I rushed one of them but let the other build normally. I noticed that the rushed refinery would not complete until the second refinery was completed. Due to lack of r

As far as I understand it the arrows indicate if an attack was blocked or not. You'll notice that when the arrows are facing each other you will see appropriate defense icon light up matching what weapon icon is on. If you see arrows in one direction than there was no defense and the attack did full damage. The orange numbers are damage prevented, Every weapon type has a a range and fire rate. Missiles are long range and slow rate of fire. &

Guys, I was playing a game recently were I had researched a few treaties but when I talked to different AI's I had the option to broker treaties with some and not others. The only explanation I could think of was that the AI's that I could broker treaties with (by that I mean the treaties drop down menu was not present on my side of the negotiation screen) were on less than friendly t

Can you mix and match ideology's (by that I mean can you spread your ideology points across benevolence, pragmatic and malevolence)? Is it a good idea or should you stick with one?

Guys, I know that soldiering improves your chances of a successful invasion (i believe it also helps in defense when being invaded). However I'm curious about how its generated. I know there are military planetary improvements that improve soldiering but I'm wondering if its a global figure like credits and research. Do all planets with s

In my opinion planetary resources are a great addition to Gal Civ. However the only problem I have with them at the moment is that there is no easy way to see what planetary resources you have. Currently the only 2 options is to either cycle through your planets and make a mental note or open the the trade screen with another Civ. Ideally they sho

That could be it. How much do you need to research to unlock the next age? Also according to the GalCiv 3 Apha mini manual ( https://forums.galciv3.com/452714/page/1/ ) everyone is locked in the first age which would mean planetary invasion may be out of reach until the beta.

In the early Alphas build planetary invasion was unlocked very early in the tch tree. In the new alpha I noticed its now a much later unlock (rightly so to in my opinion). However last night I'm sure I researched the tech that lead to planetary invasion but I cant find it as a researchable item. Has it been reomved from the alpha? At the mo

First my impressions. I'm very impressed I think the UI has been gretatlu improved over GalCiv2 and the new production wheel is far more intuative then the sliders. The grpahics are nicely improved as well. I'm loving the ideology tree. The inclusion af tile adjacency bonuses really adds another layer to colony management. I like that they are bringing nebulas and ion storms in to the game. I love the idea of hiding ships behin
