I just uninstalled crusade to check and yea it's a massive difference but i can't start a new game without crusade installed, it just crashes. It's definately crusade that has ruined the maps and the new game mechanics are awful. I wish to god i hadn't bought the DLC.

First impressions, i have played 90 turns and i hate it. I don't like the new tech tree. Can't be arsed to work out star bases, they just don't work. I built one and can't add modules. Administrators are annoying as hell, just let me build what i want dammit. Why did things have to be re-named? Why do farms just produce food and now you have to seperately build cities to increase population? it's just fiddly. I had to copy accro

Should start playing again tomorow. New machine is a laptop with I7 7820HK Cpu (just came out this month) 16GB Ram, GTX 1060 and 960GB solid state hard drive. That should solve any performance issues!!

Just a quicky and i want to make sure i do things right as i am not currently playing the game but will be returning some time after i change machine. I don't care about my saves because i would just start a new game anyway but the main thing i am worried about is my custom ship designs i spent hours doing. How can i make sure that my ship templates make it across to the new machine?

I wouldn't consider them bugs or major issues but there are some hilarious interactions and instances in the game that makes me chuckle and i wonder if anyone else came across stuff like this. 1- The Precursor artifact warning. Here you are leading the race as clear front runner over the galaxy and usually head of the united planets picking off enemies one by one and then suddenly a minor race who you have good relations with says something

Galcivs 2 did a great job of making these things possible mwith races ganging up and tearing a civilisation apart in order to strengthen everyone else involved. You'd be invited to take part by other civs which was also something i miss greatly because it felt like the galaxy was alive and there was more than just your own actions and the AI reacting to it.
They really need to work on this logic. The AI is all to quick to declare war. There are usually other civs just as close and often weaker, but they all decide to declare war on only me!
this is the biggest issue facing ai and war on this game. they go out of their way to attack the player who is a much harder target than the next door neighbours who are weak and ripe for conquest. instead of it being every civilisation fo

Ok i'll start by saying i have all the united planets research unlocked before anyone mentions that. What is annoying me is how we are restricted to a choce of five resolutions when usua;lly the one i want isn't selectable. This is quite frankly restrictive and stupid. I have to wait half a year basically because the game thinks what i want to do just isn't at the right timing. I spent twenty minutes reloading past several lists of resolutions and thought it was just a waste of ti

Yeah i have a game running which needed some exitement and finally along came the dreadlords event. I then noticed they had one pathetic ship and a planet inside my sphere of control which kinda made the moment more like a wet fart. There was an invader ship of mine only one turn away too.
