Can anyone tell me what the differences are between GalCiv2 and 3? Like, a list. Even a link to a list?

Any idea on the improvements and what's the same etc? I'm trying to work out whether it's worth the $100 price tag.

I only had a quick look on Steam; this game looks like a prettier GalCiv2. Is that the case? What are the differences, what's removed, what's added?
